Nice to meet you! Thanks very much for all the help on this forum so far - I'm up and running and just getting into the game for the first time. It's quite addictive.

Have been running around doing PvE quests on CN2 Moonglade realm, but can't speak Chinese and feel like I'm missing out on teaming up etc.

Am currently level 14 orc rogue (Sneer), so I wanted to ask is it wise for me to move to a PvP realm yet, or will my levelling and exploring will be made impossible by the other faction engaging me in World PvP all the time?

Any other things you can suggest before I move over would be really useful.

Welcome to join us on Bronzebeard! It's a pretty hardcore pvp realm but as far as ganking goes during leveling, it's totally in the norms. Even more if you go as rogue since you can flee most situations and we gladly come gank the camper when needed.

Now one thing. Most ppl on CN2 experienced lag when playing on CN1, caus CN2 is for Beijing and CN1 Shanghai. So unless you got a good fiber connection you might want test the lag first see if it fits you, though for rogue lag is less of a burden since you'll be pooling energy anyway.

Unfortunately it looks like you were bang on the money - despite a 4MB connection I get a latency of over 3000... doesn't look like I'll be pvp'ing with you guys anytime soon

Laowai Club would be on alliance side, but since you're only lvl 14 you might wana start a new toon there.
If you hate alliance and insist to play on Horde side, I guess it could be a bit difficult, cause I do not recall a Horde foreigner guild on CN2.

EDIT:
I am not sure if a VPN might help with your lag, but you could give it a try. If I remember correct 27net should have some trail time, so you could test it and see if using it reduces your lag when playing on CN1.

We have some Players from Beijing playing on Maduolan and stormscale-Taiwan. Most of them use VPN, some of them are lucky yo play on cn1 without VPN.

Hey Stitch - do you know English speaking horde players on maduolan or stormscale-Taiwan, or is it all just Alliance? Do you think it's possible to transfer a character to taiwan, or am I looking at having to start fresh (in which case I'd prob just do alliance on maduolan)

There was a Horde guild on Maduolan running by Cow eaters member called Exaptriates but they are all not active anymore and switched back to Cow Eaters Alliance side.

There is no possibility to transfer ur char from China Mainland to Taiwan so you would have to create a new account Trail on taiwan server.
The players on TW - Stormscale are Horde only and its a PVP server. There are 5-8 people frequent playing incl some lvl 85 already.

If you dont want to start fresh join Maduolan ALLY side and check the trail version of the VPN services u can see if your ping is ok we have 1 Baijing guy who plays with a devent ping wo use of VPN. Just /join english and ask Usul, Juliask or some other Cow Eater member.

Followed your advice and I'm now up and running on 27net vpn and getting a ping of 100-180 on CN1 Bronzebeard! Will transfer my main character (rogue L27) over asap. Looking forward to meeting you all online

the Horde battlegrounds always lose lol

when you do quests a high level like 50 or more
you'll be always be kill by alliance guys.

Tau I wonder on which realm you leveled. Usually they start to jump on me at lv 21

So since we don't have faction change and not enough ppl to gather on one realm up to now, I am leveling my horde paladin. Once "she" hits 80, I was thinking about transfering her to BB to enjoy some PVP content.
To bad I missed all the ganking during leveling, but I am sure there will be enough at 80.

I better get some 80 PVP gear

You are welcome. But you can even transfer earlier, ganking there isn't that bad.

He was making fun of it. Ppl will attack you, and you attack back. Sometimes the ganker get ganked. It's the pvp server

I remember once I was 72 and a pally 80 ganked me in the caves near the dungeons in dragonblight. 1 min later I see him standing still, probably afk. Was fun to get my kill back.

Also you can always call in the heavy guns

I know I wrote about how PVP server sucks. Actualy I am just making fun of you all, it's a little bit like ganking some poor guy

I have 5 lvl80 on TW servers on 2 different PVP realms, so I know a bit how it is. I am assuming it's probably similar on BB.

My pala is 76 at the moment. I just wanted to wait until I hit 80, so I can do stuff with you guys together, heroics and raiding
I guess by the time we get 3.3 I should hit 80 and then I can get some gear for raiding pretty fast, so I want be a burden to you all

Me and three mates rolled rogue alts just for this purpose...well..actually it was to create a bit of madness.

We would stealth into Ogrimmar and have some fun sapping, distracting and generally being bastards....ahh good times
We would often take a druid who could stand up on the roofs, almost out of LOS and HOT us up....woop hahaha...5 man killing spreee ftw
