Hello guys, as a lot of new people started to play recently here's a little help to find groups for instances(dungeons). Note that some knowledges of chinese can help but isn't necessary to run instances in wow China.

First let's list all the informations you'll need :

1. Dungeon Names:

Dungeon Names - TBC (source :wow-in-chinese glossary)


2. Dungeon difficulty mode :

PT = normal mode
YX or H(depends on which realm you are) = heroic mode


3. Class code :

ZS = Warrior
QS = Paladin
XD = Druid
MS = Priest
SM = Shaman
FS = Mage
SS = Warlock
LR = Hunteard


4. Class role :

MT or T = Tank
治疗（zhiliao) or ++ = healer
DPS = Damage Dealer


5. Additionnal words :

找(zhao) = looking for
拉(la) = summon
组（zu) = to group
满（man) = full
来 (lai) = to come
求组 (qiuzu) = Seeking Group
ROLL团(tuan) = ROLL loot(highest roll win the loot)
G团(tuan) = Gold loot(you must pay for the loot, highest bider win the loot)
MMM = whisper
FB = dungeon


These are all the words/infos you'll need to get a group of heroes ready to bleed a bunch of atrocious, malicious, machiavelous, Hideous, deformed, and not so kind monsters.

Let's be role play and take an exemple : you are a powerful wizard, who master the power of innerfire and the satan, you are a WARLOCK MOUHAHAHA(...) errr sorry. So you decide to go clean Hellfire Ramparts from these smelly, bleedy orcs :

6. Advertising for your own group :

First register yourself into the looking for panel to get acces to the /lfg channel, once you are in, type :

PT地狱火壁垒找MT/治疗/1FS/1DPS 1=4
or(as you'll often see)
PTCQ找MT/治疗/1FS/1DPS 1=4

let's anal yse this :

PT = you are forming a group for a normal mode instance
地狱火壁垒(CQ) = you plan on going in hellfire rampart
找 = this verb means "look for" some people also use 来(lai = to come)
MT/治疗/1FS/1DPS = you need a tank, a healer, you want one mage(for free breads, and the other DPS can be any of the dps classes
1=4 means 1person wait for 4 people (kind of let people know if it soon gonna start or not)

easy isn't it?

7. Selling your body :

Tired to form your own group? wanna watch Annah Montana on TV? no problems!

Advertise for yourself into the /1 /2 /lfg channels and hopefully someone will notice you. The sentence is as follow : (we still are the warlock from before)

SS求组YXFB (then you add whatever you want after like how sexy you are etc, well sell yourself! for exemple : 去的组下,我是美女 etc, etc..)

anal yse this :

SS = your class (warlock in this case)
求组(qiuzu) = Seeking Group
YXFB = heroic dungeon(you could have put the name of a specific dungeon)


8. A few tips for beginners :

- When you look for a group don't only advertise on /lfg channel, advertise also on zone /1 channel, and if in a capital on trade /2 channel.

- Don't expect going into dungeons untill you hit outland : BUT once in outland (lv58) it is freakin easy to rush instances with chinese people. Hellfire Ramparts, Blood Furnace can be your new friends for a good bunch of levels. Particulary easy to find groups in the evening and the weekend.

- Don't be afraid to play with chinese people, most of them don't speak english, but even if it can feel weird at times not understanding a word of what is said on the /party channel, take it easy, it's just a game. As long as you don't wipe them all day long they are cool ^^.

- If you feel like someone is asking you something but cannot understand you can always try to past this : 不好意思我是外国人我听不懂汉语(sorry I'm a foreigner, I don't understand mandarin)

Instance names : TBC only

One thing about this list, lots of chinese people use codings for instance names, so I'll list a few of them here, waiting for some help to complete the holes : (Note that these codes may be different depending on the realm you are playing in)

着最后一个 (the last)/几个(last few)人 (zhao zui hou yi ge/ji ge ren)
1. I have a friend can he join his class is ...
我有朋友，他是 (class)，能跟我们吗？ (wo you peng you, ta shi (class), neng gen wo men ma?)
2. Anyone have any friends they can ask to join us?

@sean: super easy. just go to your Battlenet.com.cn account page. click on the tbc pic. after you've done that, there'll be a page giving you info about how much time you have left(in mins). click on the right option just below the numbers telling you how much time you got left.

Instead of 找 you can simply write 来.
for instance GLR开组，来MT， 治疗， 强力DPS..来得MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM (the more M, the more appealing )


And also if you look for a group use 求 ：

强力MS求组HPT。去的组下。
"Good geared (and eventually, skilled :p) MS lfg H Magistere terrace. Those who go please invite."

What about 'gold groups' there are a lot of them around. How do they fit into the grand scheme of things mentioned above?

@thx Hirna I'm gonna add the 求组 part (didn't think about at first caus I never find a group spamming this lol, might be the realm)

@lore we could add something about gold groups but this "how to" is meant to help guys who just arrived in wow china and struggle to do something else than solo questing.
Now gold groups = (10?)/25 man pugs, I don't think people who need this guide can or will organize 10/25 man pugs.

Bolomas: Ah.. my point was how to differentiate between someone advertising a spot in a party, or someone just filling numbers for a gold run. Wasn't trying to imply we'd be asking for a gold run.. just so we know which are which. If you get my meaning.

For the wotlk names I haven't added them here caus the original idea was to add the instances initials to the original glossary and delete them from this post and link only the glossary instance names.

thanks for the help i checked this list before in the forum, but unfortunatly, i got quest in a instance called "the nexus". and i can't find it. Maybe it's a naming problem .

The Nexus is on the island in the borean tundra where the blue dragons fly ( kirin tor daily's ):p
