I just arrived in China and im pretty keen to play wow. I figure that i will prob get a crappy ping to the US servers, so i want to try out these chinese servers, but im a bit worried about the langauge barrier. I read that servers can be changed into english? i havent read into it much as my time is about to run out in this internet bar. But i am getting a computer within the next week and i have internet conenction on campus.


So is it possible for us to play in English on Chinese servers..if so i will hopefully be able to join you all soon

unfortunatly no BC in China yet ...i manged to get a lvl 70 priest with the new tier 4....but i might choose a diff class this time..

you can use your US version to connect chinese servers (although i dont recommand that if you want to improve your chinese level)

Hello everyone! Well, I'm not new to China, but new to playing WoW on Chinese servers. Anyway, I have a few questions!

I have the US version of WoW, but it is patched up to 2.0.X. I've tried to find somewhere to download 1.12.x to no avail. Do I have to wait until China gets upgraded to 2.0.X before I can use my English version, or is there a way to work around this?

If not, does anyone know where I can DL older versions of the WoW client?

you need to reinstall wow, and only patch to 1.12.1, and not further. tell here when done, then we refer you to the right posts.

I would do that, except my discs are back in the states! I honestly didn't plan on being able to play here. I was taking a break from the game (got a couple of 60s on Earthen Ring US server) and I wasn't sure if I'd even be able to play my US account from China for BC! But, I'm bored, I miss the game, I have plenty of free time and I'll be in China for a while.

Anyone know where I could possibly download an older version? The trial version from Blizzard is already set to 2.0.0.6080 (just tried that). So am I using the Chinese client until China gets the 2.0 patch?

either that or you download a torrent if your connection gets it fast.
if fast you can dl it in 1-2 days. if slow, then... slow
