does anyone got some info about the hydrocane? previously it used to have quite a fair droprate but now than I am back to mage I'd like to get it back; I've run Gnomeragan a few times now and I cant have it.

Could it be it doesnt drop anymore?

nobody got any idea?

Here's the items with underwater breathing, if you can't get a cane, try something else.

I'm almost sure hydrocane still drops, though.

well,

• the ring requires to do a very long quest series, one included to kill BWL's Broodlord, instance people seldom run nowadays. Besides, it seems to be a part for the opening of AQ gates (it seems), and since I'm not sure we can open the gate anymore, nor even run the instances, the series may have been deleted. To be confirmed.. Nice stats anyway.
  
• the engineer helmet requires of course to be engineer, in which I have no interest for my current character.
  
• the quest helmet has a duration of 60mins, after what the item simply disappears. We are warned about that in the item description.
  
• the fishing pole hook is a very nice one, but honestly, Im not going to compete in fishing for it (needs to level up fishing for that). Besides is the competition still up?
  
• the fishing pole requires fishing 300 (definitely no!) in addition to be exalted with a faction that I dont even know, and if double checking the dates of this items posts, must probably be a WLK faction, extension that some says not to be available on our realms before June.

Either way, thanks for the time spent on this research I still think the hydrocane is the most affordable method to get underwater breathing. But I still wonder whether this item still drops, and it seems Im not the only one to have problem to have it dropped (cf various forums). So unless having feedback invalidating this rumour, I just take it as eliminated from the drop list and just give it up.

I guess you are very unlucky. I tried a Gnomegaran run with my SS and got it in the first try. I guess the drop ratre is the only one which has changed but the item still exist btw. its useless for me i know but i will give it a shoot tonight for my mage.

well thats very good news! at least it's worth the shot, that means its not complete waste of time.

Is it still the same mob that drop the Hydrocane? (Viscous Fallout, ie. the named Water Elemental among other elemental and blobs, currently level 28)

Finally!!! I got my hydrocane now i'm farming at the bottom of the lake of Zangarmarsh, it's kinda huge help!!!
