I had a news yesterday from Microsoft who decided to release the new Windows for free to students!!
But, you will tell me, how can I take advantage of this incredible offer ???
You just have to check if your school or university is registered in the MSDN database on this link:

And then go online to fill up an inscription to microsoft who will check that you really are a student!

I think right now there is a little prob and vista is not yet released, but being registered will allow you later to download Windows Vista for free hehe

nice, since i had a little computer problem, i was thinking about getting a vista computer...

But is it really good? I heard it was eating all the battery.
Any pros and cons to add before I might buy it?

And I'm on the list for getting the free software!!!

I think it's more something like if you're school has a partenership with Microsoft you'll have VISTA for free.
Just like in my school. My school is deeply linked with Microsoft and I already have VISTA Business version since December and also others new Microsoft softwares for free ^^

But I didn't test it yet because not all of the drivers that I use are availaible on VISTA...Maybe in a few weeks
