is there anyway to reduce the size of the world of warcraft folder? maybe by 1 gb or so? are there any files you really don't need?

Not possible because the day you gonna update, the installer will detect a corrupted installation and will force you to redownload the whole beast.

if you dont have enough space on your harddisk, you can copy or install your wow folder on an external harddisk. using an external harddisk works just fine.
or maybe think about wowlaowai's comment, hmm now what is "pron" again?

Delete your pictures in the screenshoot folder or the patched in the patch or update folder, that's all you can do.

Hey Laowaiguy, im not sure if your problem is solved by now but if you need some extra advice you can always delete some pron...

get a 1TB or 1.5TB external storage to store all biggy files and leave your HDD nothing but just applications.
