Why are you guys leaving the CN server for? For a month I wondered why the English channel's numbers were dwindling.
Is it because Taiwan has wotlk? are you guys that bored of wow-china & outland? Man i was leveling this freaking toon for a month, and nobody told me ingame to go to freaking taiwan. what the hell??
honestly isnt the ping going to suck? i mean anything above 100 sucks, i hate it. its really annoying to play like that.

well regardless, good luck to all of you guys. I'm almost to 70 and now all the foreigners leave!!! wtf!! when i was leveling, long ago, i reached for you guys, and there you stood to boost me...
I actually uninstalled wow-c and was re-upping to do wow-taiwan, and then figured, i better stick with one server. a. the ping from china to taiwan is going to suck, even with the proxy!!!. b. when wotlk comes out, won't most people come back?

well please post about how the ping is. i'd switch servers but travelling around sure gets me down and lonely. Sad

I'd like to close now by singing "So Far Away", the rod stewart version. "So far away, doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore. It would be so fine to see your face at my door" (take link below to the song)

Sad this is just one more song about movin along the highway...

i feel bad for you. its not nice of companions to silently leave.

OTOH:
my ping doesn't suck. esp with proxy.
Yes, it is different to play with 50 ping or 250. If you play quake.
On Wow, tbh honest, the difference between 50 and 190 is close to none. above 200-250 you start to notice. that's because its a low bandwidth game and server compensates.

anyway, i am sorry this happened to you.

as for my own point of view, if wotlk would come out in china, i wouldn't go back. twn players are correcter, the servers have a stable economy (no gold sellers), and i have a guarantee that the game will go on with expansions, patches happen within 24hours of US, unlike cn, where even IF wotlk ever hit (i doubt), you don't know if the next patch makes trouble, where content is altered and changed, where patches are late or different, etc.

Again, I think its not right what your mates did. Hope you won't hold it against them.

Dude I'm sorry too.
Actually I've always played on my own, alone on my servers (both alliance and Horde) so it does not make any difference for me.
I'd suggest you to do what I did. Stop WoW, have a break. Maybe one day LK'll be here in China (i'm afraid I will not be here to see this happen as I leave this summer for my studies). And perhaps people will be back on cWoW too.

After 5 years of playing, leveling 4 character and brought them to the top, I'm quite tired of WoW atm and I'm just focusing on other activities.

So I don't really care wether LK arrives or not. Anything related to the game atm does not really interest me.

I wanted to transfer from my server to Maduolan some time ago, never happened (transfers have never been available). So I just did without it, and didn't change my life either Wink

I'd understand you're pissed if you lvled just to play with english mates, as far as im concerned I don't have time to lvl a new toon on TWoW (plus the ping matter is annoying as i PvP only).

Well, enough with my stories. I'd advise you to quit for a moment and see how things happen. If you really wanna play, then time to move to Twow as chinese realms died a few months ago now.

sorry to hear. sucks to start and most people leaves or stop playing before you even reached 70.
When I came to China in 2006 I gave up my EU account, started on a random server for 3 1/2 yrs. I have 6 lvl70 there.
Then last year in September I finaly gave Maduolan Alliance side a try and restarted from zero (with a lot of help of guildmates). It was fun until less people played.
So I re-started a new toon on Horde side and got my 8th lvl70 on cn-wow.
Then all of a sudden it seemed most people were gathering on one Taiwan server.
So here I go again. Starting all over again, hoping this will be the last time, aslong as I am in China.
As long as access to tw-wow is available and vpn works I will stick with tw-wow, even if WÒTLK will come to China one day.
My internet here in Kunming sucks generaly and my ping to cn-wow was around 150 to 200ms.
Playing tw-wow requires you to use a VPN to have a more stable connection. In most cases I have the same ping (150 to 200ms) playing on Taiwan server as on chinese servers.

I believe you are angry, but think about it. Maybe stop and have a break, or continue play TBC content and hope WOTLK will come soon to China. Mostlikely there will not be many foreigners playing on Chinese servers at the moment, playing alone or with one or two other foreigners can be hard I know.
Imo, I would give Taiwan wow a try and see how your ping is. Setting up an account is realy easy and you can use your own passport to register.
In any case I wish you good luck with your decision.

Hey Wyrm I haven't loggued on my mainland toon for 3 months now so dunno if we ever met. In the guild you are there's keilinger, milkpotpie, loreseh, urubean, tauchiro, and some others, I think they are still playing there. Maybe they left, everyone is tired of TBC, we had sunwell on farm since last autumn.
Personnaly one night suddenly I couldn't take anymore of TBC. Been waiting wotlk since november 2008, between the fear to stick with a char that will perhaps never evolute and a content I've been roaming for 3 years well, actually I was for definitly stopping the game and eventually come back when wotlk is released in Mainland.
But well 3months later "the call of the Sirens" ppl talking about twow here everyday + the release of cataclysm in half year + the fact that you can use your own identity card to create a twow account, without seeing guys you've been playing for years suddenly disappear caus their ID was reported as stolen + no need to trafic your client to get the game to work + a big guild of foreigners were finally all the foreigners who played scattered on mainland can end up together, made me move to taiwan and not regret it.

Ping sucks at times, you need to try many route with the vpn program untill you find something that is ok, but I usually can play below 200ms, and with this ping it's really hard to notice.

New dungeon finder let s you level through dungeons, whithout having to speak a word of chinese.

Personnaly I don't plan to move back to mainland if wotlk is released there, monthly abo cost roughly the same, and if you play very casual you can still buy time based credit. And with taobao recharging your account is very very easy.

hi, sorry i am new here.
i am a Chinese, but i am thinking of playing CWOW with english version to help improving my english. And I found here.
Actually for this question, we chinese are thinking the same: moving to TWOW or simple AFK awaited WLK comes.
But i stay, for now. I am not sure if I will go there one day if the CWOW keeps this way.
We all feeling frustration as the CWOW goes like this, many friends are AFK or go to play TWOW.
Shall you stay? or leave? or play TWOW with them? This is the time for you to make the choise.
As for me, i stay because I still have friends here in CWOW. But sometimes we also mentioned about such topics...
I think you should take it easy. Because not everyone can stand such a boring version as it lasts for more than one year Sad
Tell me where you are, and I wish to go and meet you Smile
Or you can come to us, i am alliance at cn1 PVE麦迪文, "VAMPIRE", my name is Coolmax as a Druid. Smile

Hey, Wyrm

I feel guilty now. Like Bolo said, I couldn't stand the game anymore and left ... permanently. Switch to Taiwan servers now simply because we gotta face it: CWoW is dead. Netease struggles and provides us with rumors on their forums, bla bla bla.
For me the call of the sirens was outside on a sunny day, much better than sitting in front of the computer, farming Sunwell for who knows how much time it has been now.

EDIT: Bolo, my "name" is spelled Urubaen or Ulubean
