Some anecdotal yet logical observations suggest Chinese server populations are again showing new life with the release of Wrath of the Lich King due next week.

I have meet several Chinese and some foreign friends who have had either quit playing out of boredom (like I did) or moved to Taiwan who upon news of the release of the long awaited expansion stated their intention to play the expansion on mainland servers.

Additionally it's clear by my own eyes that my servers online population has dramatically increased over the past two weeks during peak times and even late into the night.

Clearly this is good news for the Foreign community at Chinese World of Warcraft.

13 horde to 510 alliance... I believe Maduolan must have the lowest number of Hordies in the whole of CN1! It must be super easy to raid the Horde cities...unlike bronzebeard where you have to wake up at 3 am or something..==

Are these actual server numbers provided by NetEase by the way?

Do they represent all Chinese realms? (I see "District's" 2, 3, 5, and 10 for example)

When would peak hours take place? (ie, most number of players.)

I'm curious about taking numbers during their peak times, it's interesting info.

Peak time in china would be around 20:00 to 22:00. I'd say 300+ level 70s logging on for raid on bronzebeard, horde side.

Are the figures on 178.com accurate by the way? Are they pulled directly from their servers?

NA/EU Realm user information isn't available, for example, it can only be collected by user plugins (ie, surveys) so it's not very accurate.

I don't know 178 they get the data but it's real accurate.

PVP 安威玛尔 2005-4-26 2010-08-29 (A)1433- (H)20 Ratio - 1:0.01
PVE 玛多兰 2005-4-26 2010-08-29 (A)603 - (H)9 Ratio - 1:0.01

Couple of servers with a 1-0.01 ratio. Guess some people really dont want to play horde...
Server populations are looking much better then a couple of weeks ago overall though.
