Maduolan is player versus environment server on region one which is geographically located near Shanghai. We currently have players of all skills, actively playing all classes from all corners of China. Originally established a few years ago by people who have since retired from Chinese WoW but are active in this community forum and translation site Cow Eaters continues to maintain it’s position as China’s premiere Foreign Guild.

Cow Eaters is always actively welcoming new members who wish to join in the fun of Chinese Warcraft. We maintain a mixed population of European, American and Chinese players who use English as the basis of communication for guild chat and raid chat. Many of our foreign members have some skills in Chinese language and all of our native members have excellent English, so communication and organization is a breeze within the guild.

Since the release of the Wrath of the Lich King we have all seen an exposition in opportunity for all of our members to enjoy our favorite game. Some days I can spend the entire day going from group to group within our guild. We have also begun hosting 10 man raids.

Recently we have seen a lot of new faces, some of them are casual players and some of them are playing frantically to get to max level, but as everyone knows the more the merrier. We welcome every class of play style to join us. It is suggested that you play what you feel most comfortable with as this will most likely bring you the most long term happiness and keep you with us longer, we are not in need of one particular role more than another just play whatever class/role you like.

New players should log and “/join English” channel to get connected to our members and our friends outside the guild. We will do our best to help you get started and generally offer a lot of ongoing support to members as they level up into the range of older members when they can join us in groups.

Maduolan is not an overly crowded server although it is rated at high population I have never had to enter a queue or wait to log in. The population has a strange dynamic in that alliance dominates 90% to 10% horde. If you are looking for casual play with an easy going experience getting to level 70 and raiding and looking to acquire end game gear rather quickly this is a good choice for you. Cow Eaters often does in-house raids in English to Karazhan and Zul’Aman in which epic gear can acquired without paying gold. Some of us also do free powerleveling or pushing for either or old friends or new friends but this is an individual choice and should not be expected immediately. Myself I am more likely to help someone who plays a healer or tank because I think they add more benefit in the current makeup of our members.

On the Horde side is our foreign guild named Expatriate that was recently founded by Cow Eaters members from the Alliance. The reason for playing on the horde side is different for everyone but to give you a general idea. First of all it’s simply a different experience playing with the same community of friends. The horde has a low population; no gold raids and takes several guilds to do any big raids 25-man raids like MH/BT/SW. The arrival of many soon to be level 70 foreigners (currently we have several level 40’s,50’s and 60’s) should make raiding on this side a bit easier and common. Secondly as every single member of Expatriate will swear to, PVP battlegrounds on horde side are simply more rewarding. Expatriate is currently much more active than Alliance due to the fact that more then 28 characters have gone from level 1 to level 30-60 this month alone. Our goal on horde side is to reach level 70 and begin a moderate progression in PVE while focusing on gearing in battlegrounds and arena.

Alliance and Horde on Maduolan offer a full range of experience for the player versus environment orientated player who at times wants to have that all powerful alliance team and at times enjoys the trials of the horde. Maduolan is the only server I’m aware of with foreigner-dominated guilds, let alone on both sides. Additionally since both sides are a single community of friends in a single guild on each side who speak primarily English in guild chat and who group and work together on both sides and in fact through the clever use of the neutral auction hall we have been able to strengthen our resources on the horde side quite well. The great thing is you make friends on one side and people know you on the other side, a true community. We are very interested in having new players join us on Alliance or Horde sides, every class and profession and level of player is welcome on either and or both sides. Generally speaking being a foreigner is enough to make friends with us, in fact we generally make friends with anyone who speaks English. ^^ and most of us will go out of our way to help you (though don’t try to abuse that J) To contact us you should begin with logging into Maduolan (R1玛多兰) and should type the command “/join English” which will put you on a channel that allow you to communicate with other foreigners and known English users who are logged in.
