Netease is ready to go to have CWow back online. The9 (former operator) is suing blizzard for the copyrights to the material among other things. Chinese law governs that when a foreign product is being argued over the approval preocess is stopped. In conclusion no CWoW until this lawsuit is resolved which can take indefinitely.
There are absolutely no plans for WOTLK until this CWoW issue is resolved.

so i got 2 wow folders installed on my comp e:wow is patched up in accordance with cwow specs.
f:wow is patched up according with wotlk and eu/us servers.
so it makes playing the different version alot easier if you want to switch back and forth

It'll reset to 3.0 then you patch back to 3.0.3. After this you need to download the wow.exe of a chinese client. Watch the technical forum there's some links to download it. Now just a remark, you say that you were playing wotlk, but in China we were still in tbc. So I don't know if you'll be able to play with the wotlk client installed. Eventually you can also try to delete lichking.mpq in the data folder, after a repair it will eventually transform your wow in a 2.0 version but i can't guarantee. If you are not sure about all this, best is to download tbc client again and patch it to 3.0.3. You can find everything you need here http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_mirrors

I personaly have 2 folders installed on my pc and don't have any problems running WOW. You might have to download quite a bit, but you anyway have time, since cwow isn't available at the moment As bolomas mentioned, patch up to 3.03. I then would wait and check this site on a regular base. If there should be a new patch after the servers go back online, it will be mentioned here on how to proceed. If not, you need to replace the 3.03 WoW.exe with the chinese 3.0.5.9869 WoW.exe (look for the post from bolomas "12 Mai 09 new patch 3.0.5.9869: Link for Download" in the technical support section)

I assume your current wow is installed on c: drive. if so, you can simply move the whole folder to d:drive. when you install the 2nd wow folder, you should be able to enter where to install the game, in this case you would install the 2nd wow folder on the c:drive. (if not, it should autoinstall to c:drive, that's why you need to move the current folder). about when wow will be back in china. well you learn to be patient after living in china. but i guess it realy depends on when the trial between blizz and the9 is settled. I think it is scheduled for the 18th of July. In my opinion there are 2 scenarios. one would be a quick settlement between the 2 companies, which would mean cwow would be back by the end of this month. the 2nd scenario would be a big battle between blizz and the9, which could mean that cwow would be delayed for a long time. Eventhough China had many wow accounts, the revenue was only about 10% of wows revenue worldwide. We will see how much the chinese market is worth to blizz....
