Today the new patch is gonna launch for wotlk: Icecrown Citadel!
Probably In the next 2 weeks youtube will be spawned with movies of ppl downing Arthas...

This will be the last "Major" patch to wotlk So i guess early next year we can already expect Cataclysm to come out...

I've heard that people will have to unlock the bosses progressively, don't remember how the system work but they said it would take really a hudge time untill people down Arthas, plan a least a month or two before the first kill.

There's also another patch planned after this one.

Personnaly I don't think cataclysm will lauch before winter 2010.

anyone knows when 3.3 will be up in taiwan ? It was not patched this morning

Icecrown Citadel, the new instanced content in patch 3.3 comes in two varieties: a 5-man dungeon complex composed of 3 wings (The Frozen Halls) and a raid (Icecrown Citadel). Here is how it all works.

On the dungeon side, players will initially only be able to access the Forge of Souls - the first wing of the Frozen Halls. When it is cleared, it will serve as an attunement, and the Pit of Saron will be unlocked. The interesting bit is that players can access the Pit in two ways - via the dungeon portal directly, or through a teleporting device at the end of the Forge of Souls to be transported to the Pit directly. The latter method adds a nice feeling of continuation. The same applies for the Halls of Reflection. When a group clears the Pit of Saron, its members will be able to either go through the now unlocked gate at the end, or use the dungeon portal in the portal room.

The raid instance, Icecrown Citadel, has no attunement. Spread over four distinct sections (in addition to the Frozen Throne), the saronite citadel features twelve encounters, ranging from a multi-boss encounter to a gunship battle, and the Lich King himself!

it was patched last thursday in taiwan. And yesterday some minor bug fixes patch was also released.

come on guys lets play in taiwan:D its easier to find any group now with patch 3.3 due to cross realm LFG and cross realm LFR (almost all people in twow are doing this)

its easier now for us foreigner to find a group. I have done it many times and it was great.

The new LFG is really nice.


But keep in mind, on Taiwan you'll need to write traditional Chinese characters, not simplified. They get all uppity about it.

Is there many english speakers on WowT?

I'd say about the same as Chinese wow, frankly finding another foreigner is damn near impossible, the most you'll usually find is someone who remembers their college minor in English.

most people i get to 5men in with are speaking english.

Way way more than in WOW CN

I guess a lot depends on how you define speaking English. The general grasp of a lot of people of that of a few mandatory grades of English is quite high, but for real fluent speakers... I've only met one, and I've done enough pugs to get two PUG pets by now.
