So last night I decided to create a few new accounts on the Taiwan Realm (just discovered multiboxing).

In the past, I was able to create a 14 day free trial account, level to 20, then use a 150 point card to add 30 hours and make the account permanent.

So last night I created 3 new accounts, then try to play it and it says "time expired." "Strange?", i thought - maybe they are no longer offering free trials, so I bought some 150 point recharge cards and tried to load the account using the "mycard" option. Rather than add the time to the new accounts I get an error message from mycard (attached below in the next post).

My question is this:
1. has anyone successfully created a new 14 day trial account recently (like since yesterday).
2. Does anyone know why the 150 point card will not recharge a new account (i've confiremd that the cards work with my existing accounts)
3. Anyone with better chinese than mine know what the message is about? Do I now need to buy a different recharge card other than the 150 point card to activate a new account?

as AG already posted the link to my thread. Its possible to create accounts but no free time granted and impossible to charge the account........ Thats the way to avoid people overflowing the taiwan servers from China

So no new accounts on TW realm, but I just realized that they lifted the restriction to change passwords everytime you recharge your account. I had two accounts stranded because I lost the secret password and i used nonsense data when I filled in the registration.

Now I can recharge those two accounts and keep leveling them:

Now I just hope they don't re-impose the change password on recharge rule.

You mean that before everytime that you wanted to recharge your account they did ask you to re-enter your secret password?

Do you know how to recover this secret password? Is it possible? I do not have mine and it sucks badly..

So in the past you would have to change your login password everytime you wanted to reload your account (well if it had been more than 30 days).

This was bothersome though manageable because you had to keep track of your new password all the time.

Then, about 6-9 months ago they added an additional restriction where you had to provide your secret password in order to change your login password. Well, if you lost your secret password, or weren't paying attention to it when they sent it to you, you were SOL.

Now it seems that you can recharge your account without changing your login password. This makes having the secret password not so important anymore.

If you need to recover your secret password, you can either send an email, or call customer support. It took me some digging and I needed the help of a Taiwanese friend during my last trip there to figure it out, but it is in the support pages at wowtaiwan.com.tw somwhere.

Once you get the correct contact, you need to have the following information in order to get the secret password sent or released:

1. Passport/ID information (this is the ID you typed in during your initial registration. The profile data is partially obscured, so you need to know what you originally entered).
2. Name
3. Birthdate
4. maybe some of the region and contact info, but that is all listed on your profile page.

If you have a friend call in for you (as I did due to language issues) make sure they say that they are you, otherwise customer service is not allowed to help.

I charged a 30day Card and did not have to put the secret code inside they just ask to change your PW!
No i tried to add a new card and it just gives you a verification code, no additional change of PW is needed.

Not sure how often they request to change PW?

What i saw is that the security code is asked if you want change the password in the profile without charging a card!

we could Plevel you aswell ... my fellow foreigner is deathknight and i am hunter/Warlock( i have 2 80) and we are all hordes

The server is newly created and the proportion between horde and alliance is about 55% horde 45% alliance.

We rule all the tower in pvp area hehe
