I am a french student from Paris (called Nico).

I am 22 years old & I am in business School.

I am studying chinese at the University of Foreign Trades in Shanghai.

I am just arrived since 3 weeks and I can't read chinese yet & the connexion is too bad to continue with my friend in France.

I will stay 6 month in China & I am waiting for my daughter who is coming in 1 month.

I have a personal computer with a french version of wow + BC.

I would like to ask you some help. I don't know how can I buy a chinese account. I would like to find a guild like yours.

I have ever played a warlock (70), a warrior (58), a rogue (60), a hunter (60) & ever visited ZG, AQ20, MC, BWL, AQ40 & just a little bit of BC areas. I have 2 champions & I would like to make a mage for pvp.

I can speak English, French, a little bit of Italian & German.

I need your help.

You just here for 6 months, there's alot to do here besides WoW.

maybe you could hold out for 6months until you can go back? cuz we don't even have BC here in china. still the 1.12 original.

Since you're in shanghai maybe you can get intouch with some of our shanghai mates here, some of the instruction is much to complicated to just tell you over the net.

However I think the hardest part for you to play in china is to first get pass the *registration* process, since it's all in chinese and required a chinese national ID number.

Of course, there is a lot of things to do.

But as I said, I will live with my girlfriend & she will work for an internationnal company.

So we have decided to visit the town, museum & other things together.

I have only twelve hours of courses (3 hours each day) & we will visit 2-3 days each week.

BC suxx too much. It is becoming a crazy world. Lots of persons are leaving wow because there is nothing interesting in BC when you have ever make all dungeons like BWL, AQ40 & Naxx. The pvp arena are too small... lot of classes can't really use their capabilities. Bc is not a real good experiences for me.

Right-well I hope deadanus(who's in shanghai) can help you. but still if you like raiding and stuff and you don't know chinese it'll be even more frustrating because of the communication problems.

We here are all looking forward to BC some of us don't really like raiding and just love those 5 man dungeons. I haven't try arena yet so I can't really judge but the concept sounds like fun.

haha, i think we'll have o find a new good mmorpg..more hard and more BIG , WOW seems to be an mmorpg for child... to level a toon is too esay ... and as i said on an other post, it's paradoxal but the life of the game is limited lol...sound stange for a mmorpg... but it's my feeling ^^

I will just play a mage in pvp. If it is before the 2.0 it doesn't matter.

I don't speak chinese yet but I can try to learn it at university. I was just thinking than a mmorpg could be too difficult in chinese only.

I beg to differ. leveling is easy yes, but it's a chore, it isn't fun. The best equipment are open only for raider who spent hours upon hours just to get 1 or 2 piece of equipment.

If you enjoy PVP. then I guess wow isn't the game. Game balance is in the gutter. Alot of people in myself Only level up to 29, 39, 49 for the sole purpose for PVP in BG.

They said "equipment gap is too large in lvl 60 BGs"

But then if you like PVE and raiding, it's all good. but I doubt you'll have much fun here in china because of communication. raiding is only possible with a huge clan and they just don't have enough foreigners to raid together- which means you'll have to join a chinese clan.

chinese clans are awesome... I mean the clan i was in is really good They are fun, caring and competitive, they are well organized and the leaders are not fags ...

Raiding with chinese doods is a cool experience IMO

dont kill our hopes, mate. TBC can't be that bad. maybe for arenas. dont know yet.
we'll see. but it'll bring some fresh air here. maybe also after 2 months you didn't get to see everything / raid everything.

on the other hand, there are only 2 MMORPGs i would try besides wow (because i tried about almost all others, even korean / chinese only ones, and none got me hooked like wow), and that would be lord of the rings online and warhammer online. both look VERY nice, lotro has... well the lotrs universe which is rich, but so is the warhammer one.
both still in development and beta, and both due to be out this year.
problem: release in china? servers in US? payment? ping?

but hell... pouet... dont leave.... if levelling a toon is so easy, make one on pvp server, level him quickly as you said, and i get you into the part that you didn't do for long long time.... raiding big instances and some decent pvp. lol

you can pm me, i can give ya my phone number and help ya setup the things. but as ownage suggests. you only 6 months in china. get off-hooked the pc for a while and visit the country, learn the language and take an incomparable experience with you. i think.
i have been here more or less since 1998 (alternating during 3 years with france, but still mainly here). and in the beginning , the last thing on my mind was a mmorpg that'll take time.

I was playing in raid because my friends IG were my friends IRL. Personnaly I prefer the pvp, so I would like to play a little bit in that way.
