what exactly is the "Hunter Bug" in raids? every chinese player i play with gets really pissed at me when they invite me into raids and i tell them i'm unclear what the "Hunter Bug" is. can anyone explain to me what it is? does it have to do with Feign Death?

Oh, and another question. Is there anyway to turn off the 'unhealthy meter'? That stupid thing that activates after a certain amount of time you've been logged on.

tbh, it's just pulling one boss without pulling the adds around.
For example, at GLR, 1st boss-High King Maulgar, he's surrounded by 4 other ogres that really hurt if u pull them><. So basically what do you have to do?

1st- Misdirect on tank
2nd- distracting shot on the boss with the big fat loot
3rd- take a little nap on the ground(feign death)
4th- roll on the big fat loot

apparently i've figured out what the 'unhealthy time' is... the game system thinks i'm younger than 18 years old; i have no idea why... apparently i've used 2 conflicting ID numbers or something... very strange indeed. how do i change the ID number to my girlfriend's?

hey man... i read on those sticky threads that it's illegal for a foreigner to play wow... haha... well, before i read that i sent in a picture of the ID card and my face. with in the 'excuse box' i wrote in english that i 'misread the information boxes and that i'm using my girlfriend's i.d. card'. i wrote all the correct information from the card into the boxes, and the picture is pretty clear >.<' you can see my pearly whites - so i don't guess they'll think i'm bluffing... i don't like lying anyway, that's why i sent in a picture of my face. haha... am i f*ed?

What you need is 1: a pull macro ( shoot and feign death see mine below)
And 2: the Hawk Eye talent in the Survival tree the one that gives more range.
it can also be done without the talent but then you need to know the exact spots which i dont, also most ppl know hunter without this talent means stand close to the exit )

How it works; you just walk towards whatever you need to pull as soon as they come in your range missdirect on the tank and use the pull macro.
be sure to put your pet on stay or dissmiss it when you pull, to not noob it

I've got 2 macro's since i wanne save precious space in my ui concerning buttons they look like this:

this is the pull macro
#showtooltip [modifier] Serpent Sting; Feign Death
/cast [modifier] Serpent Sting
/target [modifier] pet
/cast Feign death

What it does is in normal condition when i press it it feign death whenever i press shift and press it it will pull + feign death.

Missdirection macro
#showtooltip [modifier]Distracting Shot; Misdirection
/focus [modifier]
/cast [modifier] Distracting Shot; [target=focus,exists,nodead] [target=pet,exists,nodead] Misdirection

You dont really need this but its just to save space, what it does is when you press ctrl and click you will do distracting shot, when you press shift and click it will make your current target your focus and missdirects it, and when you click it without pressing anything it will cast missdirection on your focus and if you dont have a focus it will cast it on your pet.

i'll give you a run through on what i'm doing; maybe you can assist me in where i'm messing up.

okay... i'm with a group, and we're infront of a boss. i click 'stay' for my pet to stay behind in the group... i cast 'misdirection' on my pet so the aggro i pull misdirects onto him. okay... i creep up onto the boss and shoot it with an arrow. immidiently after i cast 'feign death', instead of only the boss pulling, i'll pull the whole fucking group... then i get a stone in my gut because of embaressment. what am i doing wrong?

I guess what Stixx was trying to say was, that you should have the talent hawk of the eye, so that you can stand as far as possible away from the boss. Also he mentioned that you should missdirect on the tank.
Possibility is, that you were too close and/or that missdirecting on your pet instead of the tank could be a reason it doesnt work.
Also I could imagine that the boss needs to run in a straight line away from the mob group (90degress angle), so if the tank is standing too far back, the boss might walk too much to the right (when you facing him he runs to the right) instead of walking 90 degress away from the boss group and then aggros the other mobs.

You could also try to stand in a straight line in front of him, as far away as possible, shoot him one time with normal shot and then with the second shot use misdirect on tank and feign death. This is just an idea, I don't actualy know about missdirect, so I can't tell you if this works or not.
All in all I guess important is what Stixx mentioned with "also most ppl know hunter without this talent means stand close to the exit" indicates, that you should have as much range as possible.

Oh and if you want to practice a bit please let me know, I could group up with you sometime this week and then you could try it out. I only have my warlock on Maduolan, but it might help you

Make sure that your shot and feign death are in the same button ( macro ).
And as mentioned above missdirect on the tank and have the Hawk Eye talent.

oh! some how i missed the step to bind the shot and feign death together. i was shooting, then feigning death.

A little late but...

Misdirect tank (if pet use passive/stay) then macro: /cast serpent sting /cast feign death

You have to use serpent sting to keep damage on the mob. Normal shots will just reset the mob or have the entire mob group after you.

Works well if you're soloing higher level dungeons. 1/10 failure rate.
