Although I don't play on the Chinese WoW servers, I have actually installed the Taiwanese client on an American server so I can further my study of Chinese while still talking with my friends I've already made on WoW.

I have one quiiiiick question, for anyone who may know - is there any possible way to get English profession or item links to show up in chat and macros? My lack of ability to link my professions or item drops is the only thing that's preventing me from truly being able to make the switch over to the Chinese client and never look back.

if the link is yellow and clickable, everyone will be able to see it irrespective of the links' language

chat and /p /g etc works fine
sometime I see people having trouble linking in trade chat, probably a macro error

The problem is that the link isn't clickable or yellow because the English client of the game that everyone else runs won't render the Chinese characters in the link.

oh in that case they wont be able to see any chinese chars

and short of asking everyone to install a 22Meg font theres not much you can do about it , apart from linking from wowhead
