Brand new to the forum here.

I have recently relocated to China, and I have been a long time WOW player from the US, and I stopped playing when I decided to move to China. From reading the posts on the forum, it seems like wow China fits my needs the most. The time difference killed me as I tried to play on US servers, and lag is quite unbearable at around 400ms.

I have a few questions and want to see if anyone can help me on:

1) How is the lag on WoW China? I live in Shanghai and have the China Telecom 2M line, I am hoping to get a less than 200ms lag.

2) Which server should I roll on? I am looking for high end raiding at level cap, mixed in with some casual pvp. I can speak, listen, type, and read in Chinese, although speaking and listening are not perfect at this moment (also a reason I like to play wow again, as I want to improve my speaking and listening skill)

3) Are content release dates much slower than the US servers?

Hi Peacebear, welcome to China and our foreign community

1) I assume that, if you live in Shanghai and have a 2M line, you should have 100ms or less, if you play on CN1.
Easiest to find out how your connection will be IMO, is to make a lvl 1 human on a high populated realm on CN1 and run to Stormwind between 18:00-20:00. It should give you a rough idea how your lag is.

2) As far as I know, there is no current foreign guild that is doing high end raiding on Chinese Server. So the only way would be to join a chinese guild.
The most active foreign guild on CN WOW is probably Cow Eaters, please correct me if I'm wrong.
If you want to give it a try, make a toon on CN1, Maduolan (玛多兰), PVE, Alliance, type /join english in your chat and see who's online.

3) China just got WOTLK last month and has currently patch 3.2 content. So we are way back to the content of the rest of the world. But we do have fun anyway

I'd say the 2 guilds are on par.. but Cow Eaters is more.. "new-player-on-chinese-servers" welcoming than Bronzebeard
