as right now patching for chinese client dam slow around 47 percent

it stuck around 48 percent, the client download no god, got do it manually

1% every 2 min, that ain't bad. Another 2 hours and you are at 100%

Most CWOWer had finished download the new patch,but it's difficult to download the US older patch

in chinese version the patch
is 759 MB
in us version the patch
is 1008 MB
( 3.2.2a to 3.3.5a)
and the season 8 is estimated for 4 month (or) 8 month(if bad chance)

i download patch finally, i presume u still can not play yet.

It said 24hours, and servers shut down at midnight. If everything works as planed, the servers should be online tonight at midnight.

when I try to go from 3.2.2.12484 with the 3.2.2.a to 3.3.0 patch file I get a error message that reads like this : This update does not need to be applied. It requires version 3.2.2.10505 of "WoW.exe", but you already have version 3.2.2.12484.

should I try to downgrade my wow version to 3.2.2.10505

Important : if you previously fixed your foreign client to play on Chinese realm version 3.2.2 you have to revert the modification by using the batch option RESTORE or by reverting all modifications you did manually. You won't be able to apply new patch on your client until you have done this.

so my big incrimental patch comes with an error... and i am guessing it is still bad. so that wonderfully fast DL is not an option. now for a 10hour DL from fileshack... grrr and it was all looking so good.

if wow does notcome in like 2 mn i quit wow for 8 hours and not come back during those hours. netease can rot with their bot bg patch.

They mentioned that there would be a downtime for 24hours.
So mostlikely you will not be able to play until after midnight.
But you will get many improvements so in the mean time go outside and enjoy the day.

oh i know it 24 hours that why said i not be back another 8 hours that 12 then, beside we all know netease just giving time for chinese update their bot so they can more money.

Could be my office connection, but finding it tough to download the patches. Using the wowwiki mirror list for old patches, the downloads keep breaking ("finishing" within the first 10%, leaving a broken file "complete")

I seem to be getting good rates from www.wow-patch.in for the first update (to 3.3.0), but they only have the very small incremental ones after 3.3.0, so I will check those suggested sites for 3.3.0 => 3.3.5a (I need enGB patches)

sorry for late reply. Muhan: Getting corruption errors when i try to extract. some as soon as i extract, others near the end of extraction. have tried several zip sites. mirror patches,, the wow in one didnt work for me. and the latest is a blizzard updater file... and MPQs...

the 3.22 to 3.3 patch comes in a windows folder with a bliz updater inside and some mpq files (thats what most incrimental patches look like)

Put them in ur wow folder and just double click the blizz updater in the folder then ur fine

did the restore with the old Batch,, the new Batch wouldnt do it.

still came back with wrong version number,, will look again.

You need to get back to 3.2.2.10505, so that you can start patching.
Maybe you can check which is the version you have at the moment. If you don't know or are not sure how to check, simply start the game and check in the left lower corner.

Side note.
Best is to NOT have an internet connection during the manual patching, because if you have an internetconnection the launcher will start after each pach and will start to try to download the 4.0 patch.

ok so it said my WoW exe didnt match, to i took old TOwowCN out, said it couldnt FIND the exe,, so i put TOwowCN back in and swapped Wow.exe out with the right 10505,,,, now it says it cannot open common mpq.

ok, I guess your wow folder is messed up a bit.
First it is important that you do NOT use the "new" TOwowCN, until you have succesfully patched to 3.3.5.

So I think you have 2 solutions:
either you restart with a clean WOTLK client and patch it manualy to 3.3.5
or you try to fix what is messed up.

If you wana fix, you might want to put the old TOwowCN folder into your wow folder. Do not put the new one in the folder.
Do the revert process one more time. then remove the TOwowCN folder.
Try to start the game via wow.exe.
If it gives you an error, try out the repair function.
Make sure you do NOT download patch 4.0
If repair was successfull, check the version you got and start patching you client. Again do not insert the TOwowCN folder to your wow folder until you patched up to the last 3.3.5 version.

If you don't mess, the way it works is
1 you execute the batch
2 you choose RESTORE
3 everything is good and you can patch your game.

Now if you mess, caus of X reason
1 you execute the batch
2 you choose DOWNGRADE option
3 you patch again from 3.0.1

Concerning the TOwowCN folder:

Once you have a foreign client fully patched, you can copy the whole TOwowCN folder into your wow folder. Do NOT take anything out of the folder, only open the TOwowCN folder and double click "TOwowCNx.x.x.bat" and follow the instructions on how to modify, so that you can play on Chinese servers with your foreign client. (if you are not sure come to the forum and ask)

Later when a new patch is available, do the following:
you need to first revert the process.
This means you need to open the TOwowCN folder and double click "TOwowCNx.x.x.bat" and follow the instructions. (if you are not sure how, come to the forum and ask)

After the process is finished, you can remove the whole TOwowCN folder. Then you start patching your foreign client.
When finished with patching, copy the newest TOwowCN into your wow folder. Then open the TOwowCN folder and double click "TOwowCNx.x.x.bat" and follow the instructions.


Notice:
If you start taking things out of the TOwowCN folder or/and use the new TOwowCN before you finished the revert process, you will mess up your wow folder and it will be difficult to clean it up and you mostlikely need to restart with a new WOW client.

Muhan it's ok if ppl use the new TOwowCN to RESTORE the 3.2.2.a client. The thing is you have to stick to what is said on the guide.

If you are in hurry and decide to read between the lines or do a few file mix on your own then you'll mess your install.

If that happens just DOWNGRADE your client and start patching again.

so apparently it works perfectly for my wife. took the file, copied and pasted, started the program after the restore... now she is laughing at me.

Thats wha happen to me befor e the batch works fine including restore as long as ur wow folder never changed!!!!!
what happe n to me was i used the batch file for 3.1.3 but installed a new windows before pushing restore and it killed my original European / taiwan client and not my patched version i used to play in china

Grumsh i guess something is messed up on ur wow folder! not sure what but i would try to copy paste my whole folder to another hdd for backup !!! Then use on one of f them the repair option from wow afterwards uu migt patch from scrap but its a safe way ...since ur problem description is not very usefull to interprate what went wrong!!!

I was playing on TW server a few months ago, doing ICC, I stopped playing for awhile so I did not update the TW client to their latest game content.

From what I remember the client number in TW was 3.3.5 (dont remember the detail batch number that follows).

Since now CN server is also ICC content with 3.3.5, can I simply copy the TW client files and able to logon onto the updated CN server?

If not is it because the detail 3.3.5 batch number is a little different and what procedures are require to get it to work? It would be great if I can just copy the files directly because all addon are setup for 3.3.5.

I am sure other player may encounter the same issue since some will want to come back to CN server like me. Big thanks to anyone who has the knowledge and is willing to give some advice!!!

Yes, I just logon to TW server and version no is 12340 so I think I am in luck.

I will now go ahead to use the patch file and see how it goes, I think the realmlist will also be changed by the patch file? Anyway I will try right now.

If it all works out my interface should be excatly the same as what I am seeing on the TW server, that would save me a work of work in having to find the right version for each addon and re-do all the settings again. Now I just need to copy all the marcos and hopefully I am ready to go.
