I got my new Pet (BuBu), and I spec it to be nothing else than Tank. all stamina armor and health. he is a Tenacity beasts so he has this ability for thunder-stomp ( I may write the name wrong but im to lazy now to check)

anyway its this attack all around him once.

So I wonder is that something can be good in ICC 25 to fight the Trash?

having like 20 Mobs around him and he do it could be a nice DPS boost in my Mind, when the Boss come of course back to Wolf.

I like the idea of bringing a tenacity pet to help clear out mobs. Master's call now has a 3 minute cd (down from 30) so the idea definitely sounds viable. But personally, i would go with a bear over a boar because of the bears swipe attack which hits multiple targets in front of it. Just a little more of dps boost.

Edit: Also, don't spec it to tank. Spec it to deal as much dmg as possible. The tank should be holding enough aggro to keep mobs off it.

Guys like the idea but,

I think the damage from a pet's thunderstomp or a bear's swipe would be too little compare to 1 call of wild while doing a volley or multi shot

Im to shy to test it in ICC25 now, but a small test could be maybe halls of reflection when the escape of lich king start.

Bear I will try, just always feel Hunters dont have enough slots for pets, and to make it even harder my second spec is Pokemon Trainer BM Hunter. (not really wanna give Skoll and my Dino away)

Small edit out of the subject its a relief that the Cooldown of the Pet cage changed away from 30 Minutes to 5.

Its very annoying my pet die and I need to hurry because the tank already run to the next mob. So now i sometimes just open the cage and get my full healthy pet.

Back to the subject I was trying to find other forums but seems nobody talk about any other than Wolf for raiding.

So would be nice to hear if somebody already tried it out.

Bear, Crocodile , Monkey and my idea Boar (Boar i must admit i choose in first line because of cool looking and the nice sound when on attack)

Good point Av, furious howl and culling the herd would be lost with a tenacity pet. The dps output would be trivial or roughly the same if spec'd MM/SV but might be beneficial if you're doing BM raider. I usually turn call of wild off tho b/c of the 5 min. cd on it, don't want it on cd for when you hit the boss.

Marujin, if you're pet keeps dying mid-fight, put talent points in Avoidance which gives the pet a 90% decrease aoe dmg on it. As well, Cower has changed from decreasing threat to decreasing dmg taken by 40%. A nice little addition to the game for hunters.

I love the Idea BM Hunter for the Trash, how is Volley affected if i change the spec? is there a big difference or its the same ? what would make a BM Bear a boost for sure.

Marujin u should check out Huntersunion its a great page and they will have all info u need for PET and DPS rotation even they focus already on Cata u still find in their database old information.
