The Next Page is a confirmation of details and the subsequent page is saying they sent an e-mail to your acount that you need to confirm.

Part 2

I. Upon confirming your account you'll be presented with a page that asks for ID number. If you do not have one you'll have to ask one of your Chinese friends for one.

II. The next page asks for your WoW account name.

III. The page after that asks you for
1) Account password
2) Role name (I believe this is the name of ingame character)
3) E-mail address

IV. Screen after that just informs you that your new login will be your e-mail address.

this whole process, changing from the9 to netease is going to upset me more and more....
meh, not beeing able to play for i dont know how long and now looking for an id card number again....

what makes me think twice about doing this now, is first of all i cant play in the moment, so no need to have it right now, eventhough i understand that when servers will be up, that this service might be overloaded. the second point is what is realy getting me, is that they ask you for your account password.
i mean, you are creating a new account name with a new password anyway, so why would they need your old account password?

i guess i will just wait until the servers are up and take into account that i have to wait a couple of hours or a day or two, rather than thinking i got a chinese battlenet account and then finding out, when i try to log in, that my account has been hacked.

i'm done! now to wait for the game to come back...

sorted.. both accounts bound... it only asked for one character from each account and my old matrix, all on battlenet now so hopefully all my toons will move together from eachh account.

Good news too, my hours seem pretty good and time transferred over. Have 80 hours on one account and 65 on the other.

Other good news is that if the information is available to transfer from the9 looks like legal wrangling aside we should be able to play soon. If a legal battle was ongoing I'm sure the9 would have kept account data back as long as possible....a light at the end of the tunnel perhaps?

how do view the hours left?

log in after binding by clicking the 1st yellow bar (account management) then click the link top left (looks like a back arrow) this takes u to the select screen, click on the account u wanna view and the number at the top is minutes remaining

I created the account like 7hours ago and they still didn't send me the mail to activate it, I'm using gmail but... no wonder why the game take so long, when you see the time it takes to get an email... they have to write it manually or what!!!

As far as the e-mail accounts go, you may need to create an alternate one. It would not send a confirmation e-mail to my hotmail account but it sent one to my yahoo account. It should take a less than minute for you to receive.

Gmail: Took less than 30s
Now to get the ID next morning!

You guys better find a friend who can lend you their ID number and the best, a photocopy or scan of his ID card. the reason is simple.

If your account is stolen, or banned, you'll need to send your personal infos AND a scan of the ID card used for the account creation.

In january the day of new year, my account was banned, and banned by mistake. If I'd used an ID found on internet I would never had my account back caus of being unable to send the scan. So better think far.

i also have used this address to set up my EU battle.net account. Does this affect the registering process for my Chinese Battle.net account?

You could try logging in with your EU battle.net account and see if that works.

Yes it does. What I did was changed the e-mail of my US account, I didn;t have anything registered on it, so the CN account was found to be more usefull...

I think you can use the same ID multiple times but there's going to be a limit on how many accounts you can make with the same ID.

But then I used Firefox and not IE8 and it worked fine.

Nice suggestion I have Firefox as well, did not even think to try it (mozilla to as a 3rd option if that does not work).

IE8 seems to be locking up when I play Aion (have 2 monitors so when doing like 1 hour of crafting on Aion usually switch over to internet or movie etc), it deffinitly smells as bad as a
butt at the moment, going to switch back to FF I think permanently again.

Oh and good tip for everyone who has a lonely planet guide and you don't know your region and city (use it, you can locate the correct area/city to input into the sign up page...I just wrote a random address cause I can't type my address, it does not really matter).

ok, i will try to set up a battlenet account, but have some questions:
1) in the field address, do i have to write my address in chinese characters? if so can i copy/paste it from a word file? cause my pc cant write chinese or can i write in pinyin?
2) the place where it asks you for your email address (after entering the account password) this should be the same email address which you enterd on the first, shouldnt it?
3) the role name, is this one of your characters name?

1. It is not necessary to use Chinese characters anywhere in the process.

First of all I thank you for this post. It deffinately helped me a lot.
I don't know if you had to fill in the same stuff but I not only had to tell them the name of my account and a name of a toon but I also had to write down or choose which which realm, which race, what class, what level the character was and if you have a 2nd character you have to give the details of that character aswell.
After I finished filling in all those details I got a message saying that the automated procedure didnt work and that they have to do it manually now.
Did any of you experience this aswell?

I didn't click on Confirm when I first tried to bind my WoW Account to my Bnet account so it's not locked by the fake ID thing...Cheeeeeeers !

Every addictive behaviour should have a ritual or ceremony associated with it...that's partly why I don't drink instant coffee (though I have quite a bit lately....yikes!)...and part of why I play WoW in China.

Having said that, these confirmation e-mails are taking hella-long. The waiting, the waiting... will it work in the end...

Hi guys i've come across a problem!

I haven't got any chinese friends and i'm stuck at the ID-number thing... What to do?

just go to google or baidu and type chinese passport( in chinese) then u get a bunch of pictures with id cards
use one of those and save it on ur comp took me about 3 or 4 to get the thing passed

I tried to bind a world of warcraft account to my newly created battlenet account but it kept saying that the account-name i typed in didn't exist.

That's right i doesnt exist. Im about to create it aren't I?

Anyway i rebooted my comp and now I can't even log into my battlenet-account.

As far as I know you can create blizz acounts during the beta phase but you can not create an account that you can actually play WoW with.
So maybe you'll have to wait till the beta testing is over which is going to be in a couple of days.
Not sure about this though.
Could somebody confirm this?
