A new option to twink your opposite faction alternate opened with patch 3.3.5

Last night I was able to sent a BoA item (a pet) from my alliance warlock to my horde paladin. Something that was announced in 3.3.5 was the ability to send such BoA items in this way to opposite faction members.

Taking this one step further, if you wanted to make a DK or another class alternate on the an opposite faction or even another realm it would be quite easy now.

Use your nearly useless KEEPER SHARDS to buy heirloom items for your opposite faction twink and mail them. Second use the neutral auctions run by the goblins to tranfer unbound items like bags and gold.

Third, transfer your geared alternate to a new realm, if so desired.

tldr: if you have a level 80 you can equip and gear out a character on any server and any faction.

Good to know, although Horde side shards are a bit slow to farm over on Emerald Dream.

Hey, are you talking about the new "ZhuanJiaBao" (传家宝) items? For example, the items lower level alternates wear that makes them look like 70's? Haha. One of the effects is a bonus 10% experience gain. Where do you find the NPC to trade for those items?

Either at Dalaran, where you trade your conquest/triumph emblems place, or at Wintergrasp's vendor that uses Stoneshards (?) as currency.

Wow...I didn't know some people didn't know about this option. We've had our Horde twinks for a couple of years and we're always skipping down to the neutral auction houses for them...we actually got them when I decided I wanted a pet collection so we bought the snakes, roaches, hamsters, and flying dragon thingies and just bought them for 5 silver. The heirloom items were always connected to your account so you could always send them to your opposite faction toons (I thought).

This is a also a great way to get the [Cat Carrier (Black Tabby)] that drops off Dropped by Alliance Dalaran Spellscribe in Silverpine Forest, or rarely by Alliance Dalaran Shield Guard, Alliance Dalaran Summoner, or Alliance Dalaran Theurgist in Alterac Mountains.
