Heya, thought i would try play WoW here in China after real bad Lag and constant DC on EU servers.

Installed from my original CDs up to WOTLK (3.0.1.8874). Now patching it up, i downloaded the patch from 3.x.x to 3.2.2 from Patch.in. But when i try to run it no GUI ever comes up... i can see the process running and taking processor time (40% ish) in task manager but nothing ever happens

Anyone ever had this problem? i tried to move it into /Wow and into /Wow/updates but still same issue.

Will try download the file again (1.6Gb ish ) incase it corrupt, but just checking to see if anyone has a miracle fix...

Propably a corrupt download! You can try after putting the file into the update folder to run the blizzard patcher if it use the patch to update.

Yeah, i guess that's probably it.

I'll just have to wait another 10 or so hours for it to DL

Now to find a server....

I suggest u try all guilds out and see which fits u better.
There are 2 on ahnagnhai Nr1 Maduolan and Bronzebeard. And there is one more foreign guild on Cn5 if i remember right. But u can find all the info on the Guild forum!

Heya guys,

Just now i tried to open wow and it started a mini download (on the news screen), then it seems to want to open an actual downloader (which it fails on). Is this because Cata seems to be looming or am i doing something wrong?
