Monday or Tuesday is maintanence day it's common most servers are not back online until next afternoon

Think of it like this:

China is around 1/4 of Blizzard's total profit. There are over 100 realms in China. The database for items, characters and such is gigantic. They gotta look in every corner to check for bugs.

Blizzard founds a list of bugs and they gotta fix, they get crap for it.
Blizzard needs Tuesday mornings to fix it, people cannot connect, they get crap for it.
Blizzard decides to remove maintenance days, they crap for it.

(btw, Blizzard gets crap in any way possible. Ex: People get bored of Wotlk, QQ for blizz to release content earlier. They release, and lose about 5% of their playerbase... Crap in anyway. I wonder why Blizzard bothers with us )
