Simple question,

When Cata is up, what new race class to you plan on buliding. You can give as many as your heart desires.

For me I have been away for 2.5 years and am going to reignite my love of elemental shamans. (even though I read they get slightly nerfed compared to other things that get a boost in Cat,....I am playing for fun.....not because a few extra dps will improve the world)

This shaman will also be.....(wait for it)........( wait for it).....A GOBLIN!
again I know having played a shaman previous that the goblin racials do very little for a ele shaman (orc with rage and pet bonus, troll is its speed increase, tauren stomp is nice for a caster when melee is too close).........but again. I will have more fun this way.


Also I plan on making
A Dwarf or Orc or maybe Elf hunter
possible a boomkin

I am wondering if I wait after cata is released to do my faction change because if it works I will be the first lvl 80goblin lock!!! And the chance of being server first 85 is also there. : )

I wish I could go for being the first. When WOTLk came out stateside I was trying to be the first dranei shaman to hit 80.

I did it pretty fast but was a little late. (oh the good old day of college where I got As and 4.0 while playing wow 40hr/wk least to 80hr/wk.

(then I got a job, a gf, and discovered fresh air and exercise......life as a lot of good stuff......wowlife does do)

I like the idea of 1% haste on the goblin. The bank should make farming/raiding less of a pain, and the rocket should help a shaman ele who rountinely gets hit by melee once before a kill (my main complaint against ele shamans as a caster)

As mentioned I played on Eu realms so have been playing through Cataclysm since Jan2011.

I changed my warlock from a human to a Goblin... and its awesome

Whether ur a pvper or pve, Goblin's rocket jump gets you out of fire nicely. Fights like Atramedes where u actually have flame trails chasing you and using speed pots is an option but rocket jump has a cool down faster than the phase change so its always a bonus.

As for Elemental Shaman, I have one of those too. elemental/resto, Imo enhance shamans were the best dps spec if i recall when cata first came out.

Resto shamans are extremely good as well when it comes to raid healing. However, I still prefered my disc priest as my main healing class.

Since i am thinking of starting over on a Taiwan realm i'd probably either go worgen priest or goblin priest.

Lastly MiantiaoJiangJun you forgot the most important bonus, Bartering... Goblins get a 10% off all vendor bought items (gold)

its useful when you are farming Vial of Sands, which requires you to be honored or revered with Uldam faction. and the items all in all was costing up to approximately 42000g. as a goblin it saved me more than 3k gold.

so Goblins is definitely a win win.

I'm pretty sure that we'll all see thousands of little goblins running around come July 12th. I've heard that the starting area is pretty awesome, and many horde players will likely give it a go. I will almost definitely be one of those joining in, but I've got no idea which class I'd play, although it'll probably be a caster or healer, which leaves me mages, priests and shamans 'cause I refuse to be one of those bastard warlocks.

I am expecting that joining dungeon queues will mean regularly getting parties of 5 goblins, which should be fun.

um.. not sure about tw realm but from experience warlocks got a pretty bad nerf end of wrath. so ur not missing out much there.

as for priests, holy are insane raid healers by 4.2. discs are awesome tank healers and s.priests are if i'm not mistaken 2nd highest dps single target next to MM hunters. so I"d say you cant go wrong with priests.

Shamans are good esp resto/enhance, but ele took a bit of a knock as well so shamans are 2/3s good

I attempted 3 mages and always failed at lvl 50s.. so cant help ya there

shadowpriests really do MELT FACES. me and my friend were foing arena and ew had a pretty good setup going, i would hand of protection him (which a lot of paladins dont relise to do on casters because it only affects melee. which would allow him to cast without pushback so he just went pew pew and things fell
