My main goal in Cataclysm will be PvP. And next do doing arena I would like to setup a guild rated battleground team.

Some facts:
- Only the battlegrounds where you play 10 vs 10 are available as rated BG's. So Warsong Gulch and Battle for Gilneas.
- You can only enter rated BG's with a premade of 10 persons, no more, no less. So you can't queue up solo for rated BG's.
- The battleground team can be more then 10 persons, rotation is possible.

(Ps in the FAQ it says 15vs15 is available too, but that got/will get removed)

So all in all, rated BG's is not an "easy" way where you can just solo queue and get the best PvP gear available. Its just an alternative for people who don't like Arena.

If we want to have succes with it were going to need people who are willing to spend time and effort for this. Maximizing their effectiveness with their classes and getting our teamplay in order. You cannot do this on the side, for an hour a week and expect to have succes with it. (You will get stomped by the other premades)



That being said, I would like to organize a team. I have some PvP experience that I think can help me set this up.

The only thing I ask if you are interested in joining this is: To take it seriously, not as in spending 8 hours a day to get full PvP gear in a week. But as in making an effort to get this to work, to learn your class, how to get better with it and how to get better as a team.

The "easy" way to the best PvP gear will be to make a 5v5 team and lose 10 games a week, not rated BG's. Just saying, because I don't want to have people who just join to get some easy PvP epics, but people who enjoy doing BG's, PvP and have an ambition to learn and get higher.

I am in Tamoka. My paladin will most likely be specced holy in cataclysm, especially in pvp.
Of course, YY is a must.

@ tamoka: you can definitely count me in, at least as soon as I feel comfortable pvping with my shaman since i only started to play it seriously 2 weeks ago.

In, though time constraints may take away some of my ability to grind out some extra wins, i am sure we will have a rotation possible with this guild.

As long as the raiders raid and pvpers pvp... we will all get along.

actually arena is changed in cata. you only get point sfor winning games so you need to win 5 games a wek to get points capped. once you hit a rating of 1900 it hink your cap increases in line with your team rating

Unfortunately for warriors we bring very little to PvP arena right now,, -10% heals is nothing...

Warriors own in arena now . get 2 healers in 3's then faceroll easy 2200+ xD

I am looking at all my skills and i see potential burst. BUTBUTBUT we lost a closer, we lost 40% of our healing debuff, HLeap doesnt stun and with 2 healers each round would make me want to drive my head into a wall for length of match.

Now not saying i couldnt try, just saying it will be a lot harder now.

Oh god. I remember one of our 5's match in Wotlk. We literally ragequit when we saw their comp.

2 holy paladins, 2 warriors, of which one was prot specced AND a holy priest pve geared. Needless to say, it was a rez battle.

Healing reduction skills are now lowered greatly, winning arena's are mostly on burst fast, control or mana wars. Get a disc priest(Mana burn) and Resto Shaman(purging buffs) then you'll win the mana war.
Yeah I know its really really lengthy, my RMP before did 15mins of fight with that comp xD.
