You heard it, a new guild named "Laowai Club" has been founded .

Server: CN2, Kul Tiras 库尔提拉斯, Alliance side

We have just launched so welcome to join a small but growing bunch of active players. As we had no luck in finding an English speaking group from Beijing servers, we created our own. We hope to be up and running nicely in a bit with recent release of expansion in China. Founding members will be staying around for years to come, so we are not really going anywhere. When you hop online, /join english or contact people able to share invites:

Congratulations on the making of your guild! Going to mention this in the thread.

We already have about 7 active members! Not all of them are 老外, but everyone can speak English. We have some low levels and some 70+ members! Turns out there are quite a few foreigners and english speakers on this realm. The battlegroup seems to be pretty good too (at least at low levels) so you can easily gain experience while leveling through pvp, especially on WSG holiday weekends :-)

Are you guys in the same BattleGroup as Naxxramas ? If not, how's the pvp over there ? I'm considering moving to a server with a better then 20% win ratio and I might as well seek out a server with an english speaking guild. I prefer pvp but I don't mind helping out in raids when I am available to.

I'm not sure what battlegroup we are in, I would actually like to know. However, we seem to do pretty well in the lvling BGs. I am not 80 yet (lv68) and I pvp a ton. Also, playball is quite the pvper too. Some of the people in the guild only pve and some pvp. I personally love to pvp and our guild is growing. I definitely win more than 20% of my BGs and I'm looking to do some arena at 80, if you are interested. I'm a druid. Our guild plans to raid and pvp so it sounds like a good place for you if you are interested. My name in game is Dinosawr. MM someone in the guild for an invite. Would you be transfering a character or starting a new one? I know most of us would be happy to help ya lvl.

and besides, premade BG grps is the way to win :-)

looks like they are the same battlegroup... like i said though, premades win! also, if this matters to you at all, this realm is a little more balances alli/horde.

i read on the forums it'll be back up late tonight. They are changing all the servers to make the games run faster. all ch2 servers should have the same ping i think. I get about 10-20MS all the time.

Yup, we have been actually growing with nice pace. We now have Chinese players that speak english as well as foreigners. It's helpful to have few officers that speak both fluent chinese and english, but main goal has been to keep guildchat in English so us LaoWais could understand it =). I recently hit 80 myself and we have our first guild dungeon runs behind us. As Dinosawr already mentioned, we are aiming to down Onyxia this Sunday, altough some outside help might be required because many of our members are still in middle of leveling.

If you are interested in PvP or PvE and you are looking for English speaking players on CN2 servers, we warmly welcome you to join us. We now have own YY channel and also we are likely to get forums up as soon as someone finds the time and effort for getting them =).

Though variation in number of online players is still high, we were gladly surprised to see that we have had up to 15 members online during peak hours already!

I heard that server transfer is possible right now (correct if im wrong and its only that free transfer service). Im planning to transfer my lvl76paladin from cn2主宰之剑 because every evening there is 15-30min queue. Are you still active there or transfering?

we are definitely still active here. I'm not sure about transfers, i haven't really looked into it. i know there is another player planning to transfer his character to our server soon so it seems possible. Would be great to have a pally around. Surprisingly, I don't think we have a lvl 80 pally yet. what spec you like? tank? heals? retadin..? pvp much?

i have leveled with ret build and lately tried out prot spec. i dont have any experience how to tank but it feels really interesting. i also havent done any bc or wotlk instances so i might need some advice if i join some raids or what those heroics are...i played wow one year right after release so my only raid experience is molten core and blackwing lair with holy priest...so i think atleast i can heal...but still my wow knowlegde is really poor right now. i only leveled this paladin 1year ago cause wanted to see bc areas and quests (and heard that dps paladin exist ). now im doing same with wotlk but maybe ill play more this time if i can find good company... 1year ago i also played some pvp and bought those pvp epic gears, but my pvp knowlegde is also bad cause it was mainly random alterac valley skirmish. my plan after lvl80 is spec holy and prot cause i love supporting (i dont know how is pvp with those builds but maybe you can advice me later if you want one wow noob there ). right now im just questing and levelin alone but looking for some endgamecontent.

I'm another noob just started out. Ping to CN1 is terrible, but getting around 25ms to CN2, so looks like this is my new home!

I've take an Orc Rogue to L.14 over the past couple of days, so would ideally like to group with other horde players for the moment, just to get more experience of the game etc. Are there any horde players on this server who speak English?

If not I can set up a new alliance toon - warlock, shaman, paladin and mage all look cool, but I'm clueless so let me know if there's a class you really need in your group!

Hey there,

You are welcome to join us on alliance. Basically from mentioned classes we are missing rogue/shaman the most. I think the best thing would be to hop online and see who is online from LaoWai club and chat with the guys themselves. I'm currently away from my home, working on a project in Henan so I can't be online much during upcoming weeks.

In terms of horde, I have no idea of amount of english speaking players .

levelling pretty active lately but will go home soon, return in march.

just feeling this server a bit empty, kind of playing PvE, never seen any BL, horde near me for a long time, didn't get in sudden fights either, still enjoy levelling process though, but when get 50-60 want to try some PvP and dont want to be the only bad guy on server, because seems so peaceful here

There are usually people online most evenings and throughout the weekends if you're looking for an invite. Either shout out on the /join English channel, or look for "Deafknight" or "Shortstuff" (me) as we are online more than most recently.

I am a WoW fan from the UK and I have been playing for a while, I was just wondering if you guys are still going at the moment and if so, is there anything you need? I am currently living in Beijing and will be here for probably the next few years and would like to get back into WoW with an English speaking guild, I have experience with WoTLK and managed to down him 10 man in England a while back, I have been in China for a while but havent really had time or the interest, but recently hurt my back so I have time. I would really like to make a paladin healer / tank and was wondering if you need that in the guild at the moment, also dont mind making something else. Let me know.

I have been trying for the the last.. 6 days to try and upgrade my client so I can play the new version and come on a play.. and for 6 days I have failed... i have tried the support section and reinstalled and downgraded and repaired and gone crazy.. does anyone in the Beijing area have the time (and ability) to give me their working version of English WoW, or can help me fix it.. I have tried my very best, but im out of patience!! I use the enGB version.. if anyone has a working copy of that I would be very grateful! or help in working out what is wrong with my version.

I'm in a similar situation to you as I need to redownload the game for a reinstall sometime in the near future. My game (or maybe windows) seems to be slightly corrupted as it often takes me three or four tries to start the game before it works properly. Thankfully after that I can play normally, so it's not an impossible problem.

Anyway, I'll ask the others in the guild tonight if someone has a copy of the English version that they could share. Hopefully, I'll be able to send you a PM with details of someone who can help in the near future.

You're definitely welcome to join us on Kul'Tiras with any character class. We have a few players who love PvP and the guild regularly organises raids in ICC, although I'm not usually one of the active participants (I'm prefer leveling to raiding) so I can't tell you if they're in need of a paladin or warlock. Outside the progression raids, however, some of the members usually organise a raid of some kind almost every night, so whatever character you transfer over, I'm pretty sure there will be something to do. A couple of our members even lead gold runs and usually don't mind a less geared guildie tagging along.

Please be aware, however, that a lot of the raiding chatter still happens in Chinese as the Guild has ended up with quite a few Chinese folks, although there will usually be someone around who can help you with translation is you need it.

If you want to set up an alt to chat, or join the guild after you transfer, sign on one evening and talk to a member of the guild (/who LaoWai Club). Most of the English named characters will be able to help.

I'm not 100% sure about the Laowai Club, as most of their members have come over to The Crazy Waiguorens. If you're looking for a place with lots of foreigners and fun the Crazy Waiguorens will be your top choice. We've got french people as well ( me included).

Yeah like uru said we had a hudge guild/region merge when cata started last august, In the past beijing ppl would play on CN2 caus there's some latency issues with shanghai servers, but now a lot started to use some proxy service to fix the latency issue (see this guide https://wow-in-chinese.forum2jeux.com/t1545-guide-how-to-install-recharge-your-27net-updated-4-7-2011 ).

Lv 25 guild, full english speakers, pve pvp and fun events. That's the place you wanna be to enjoy a bit the content.

i was on your server but i've near 1500ms so i prefere to play on beijin server. maybe i ll try proxy but if i need to pay for it, i will not.

Proxy is 30rmb a month. And it's totally worth it since being in the guild will let you enjoy the whole game content, compared of being isolated in some random realms.

the Leatrix fix is free but apparently not as secure or full on awesome.

but i can attest to TCW to being full on active funtastic mayhem .

As stated above, we ended up merging with Crazy Waiguorens, actually using 27VPN proxy, the latency does not differ much between CN1 and CN2 (yes, without it, it sure does). Some Chinese speaking foreigners stayed, but I am not aware of the current guild status.
