Ok, every time I stumble upon this web page, I just sit and can't understand why all the hassle of faking crap to play in China, when there are Oceanic servers for Hong Kong, Philipines, Australia and New Zealand.

Main thing why I found it again, because I thought I will have find new Hardcore guild, but seems like there is no English speaking guilds on Chinese servers at all (raiding guilds). Then I tried to create account and honestly gave up after all ID checks, codes, messing up with client (wich I thought actually was some problem with modified client you guys have here, seeing other people had problems even when it worked for them before).

I mean really, whole english speaking community, GMT+8/10 servers, people from whole South East Asia and Oceanic region. Not even speaking about awesome connection, China upgrades it's Backbones every year, when I posted last time I had 250ms latency (and got flamed that no one here will switch to US servers, because it will probably will get worse over time), now I'm sitting at 90-150ms down from 250ms.

Connection in Orgrimar:

First Nef kill back in March I think:

Pitty, but horde guild disbanded not so long ago (well, raiding team I was in). Got into new guild, wich is pretty awesome bunch of folks.

Now going through 4.2 content. Domo:

Ragnaros killed with extra icing ("Ragnor-Os"):

I don't get how could you limit yourself with constant crap comming with playing on Chinese servers. And yes, I know, somebody may not care, but I hope some people here will at least try Oceanic US servers.

P.S.
E-peen stroke (how go without it?!). Few raiders ranked #1-2 on fights, I myself ranked #39 Prot Paladin on Shannox 25:

Since I had this Sea Starcraft2 account I went and tried out of curiosity.

So with a lv 1 in durotar I get 300ms, will try to login tonight on prime time since that's when the ping usually go crazy

In any case I don't feel like spending 90$ to buy all the expac to play on US servers, but that might not be a problem for everyone.

Little question out of curiosity since those servers seems to be perfect, what motivated you into trying to play on chinese servers or look for some people here? I heard the aussies and NZ players always preferred to play on the US servers instead of Oceanian (better ping with majors ISP and more english speakers). Or is it a Time lag issue? Caus I know a gmt +10 is enough to ruin your ability to raid if you got a few real life obligations(5pm to 7pm raid start real sucks when you are still in your way back home and haven't eaten dinner yet).

As for the chinese client, besides having a chinese friend who lend you his ID (curious to know what codes you talking about) and a small edit on your client that takes 5min top, I don't see where is the hassle. We just reformed recently into a big english speaking guild, planning to pvp and raid, but not elitist to not draw away those who got a family or real life obligations.

Your miss Smile

PS: oh and back then we didn't flame you. You just came on the forum and told us we were "stupid to play on chinese servers".

And once again to remind you. This forum is about expatriates playing on the Chinese servers, hence the title. I believe the official forum got a looking for guild section.

I think they made Burning Crusade free, i.e. if you buy WoW Classic you get burning crusade. And WoW classic is 10$ I think.

I made it working for few hours, but then it stopped, kicking me out of the game. And connection not that mind blowing, I was getting 70ms to Alterac CN vs getting ~150ms to US.

My working time is shifting and I wouldn't be able to raid, but on the other hand I forgot about Australians having daylight savings, so problem fixed itself for some time at least.

And Oceanic servers are all in US, most of them in LA in Bloodlust BG9 and I think 2 servers in Cyclon BG in Seattle, but LA datacenter provide best conenction.

And for me fun in WoW is PvE raiding, not casual raiding, but hardcore progression and race for Realm Top spots with like-minded people, when I was horde few month ago was in Realm Top 10man guild (top guild overal progress), but some officers started having ego issues and lot of good raiders left including me, so I took a break from WoW for some time and after went to realm top 25man guild.

But funny enough, guild I am in is one of the few guild that are racing to Realm Top spot and raid late time (later than most Australian guilds). Other late night guilds either don't have spot for Tanks/Ret or need only Holy Paladins (wich I can't play on same level as I play Prot). Sad
