1 year, not 6 months... get ur facts before posting KTHX...
again, i have to say, you might have a problem with my not so perfect english. so please try to read and understand my posts. i KNOW naxxramas exists for one year.
i never said it wasn't out on this or that date. i am not even talking about bloody naxxramas. again... maybe you should have someone explain this fact to you. read my posts.
i am saying: blizz took about almost half a year (5 months roughly) to get from naxxramas [content ] to 2.0 [NO CONTENT]. and about 6 months to TBC [CONTENT].
So, practically.... PRACTICALLY, thats the moment you can start blaming THE9 for not adding content (they can't add before blizz, right?). that being january, it means we are about 5 months behind with new content.
The first 5 months are blizz's fault. which is not a fault really, 1.11 -> TBC 5 months was reasonable. unreasonable is to add another 5 months (what the9 did). 5 more months. for 5 months they did not give us new content (because thats the actual real timespan they COULD have given us content, as new content DIDNT EVEN EXIST BEFORE THAT!).

- In USA, they went from this date to 16 january before TBC realese. In China, we are mid june and still not get the update, even though you might be right when you say that the level of quality of the servers are good, i think a MMO distributor is not good when they don't give you a single content update for a year...
but wait....no. there is one little thing in my head telling me i am wrong to say its unreasonable to blame them for 5 months... what could that be?
.....got it... REASON!
did the whole oceania region (EXCEPT china) get the new content in january? no, they didn't.
china signed end of january and agreement with blizz for tbc.
http://www.blizzard.com/press/070201.shtml
the rest of the region signed a bit earlier. they got their tbc in about mid march.
then again, they don't have the same troubles facing the9 probably (distribution, servers, etc etc). you all talk about the players players... its about money. its a business, and its a product launch.
now here is a few things. BEFORE the9 and blizzard agree on anything, the9 won't move a finger to even prepare the slightest thing for TBC. i wouldn't either. it puts more pressure on blizz to agree to your terms faster, and it takes you out of any risk of losing investment if there is no agreement.
now, since the agreement has been signed, they are probably working on it. it is in their own interest to do so.
here are a few things to note though. the9 is not a local company set up by blizzard to run WoW exclusively. they DO have other products and they DO have to take care for them. again, not for the players, but because they also are bound by contracts with other companies.
taiwan, hong kong, hell, even korea can make a switch to TBC WAY easier.
their server clusters are about a tiny fraction of the ones in china.
their distribution channels are not nearly as complicated as in china, considering the size of the country and the amount of players. also, the9 will surely have wanted to renew sponsoring contracts for TBC (coca-cola) to cover some of the costs. its business. that chews on time as well.
in the meantime, they added new game to their scope of supply and have to handle more servers and upgrade (even take some of the wow servers) and they have to release those games on the date stated in the contract.
if blizz was so bloody worried about the players, they could have made a clause for release date "before" a certain moment. they could even have sent people over from sunny calif to help with the process. again, they could actually have installed their own servers here and run the crap themselves. they DO ahve offices in china (pudong in shanghai). they do it in lorea, too. but wait, korea is their pet country and china isnt. so they delegate.
the9 has a ton of other obligations, which in the same way as wow, are about money (for blizz its also about the money and NOT the players, or we would have tbc now). they are actually doing a pretty neat job still, as it has been 4 months since they signed for tbc.
blizz had to do at least as much testing and crapping and lurking around since they took the first unofficial test for switching to 2.0.
am i angry and sad we dont have 2.0? yes. HELL yes, i am.
but does it make my life worse? no
do i see several logical reasons for it? yes
do i like them? no
are they arguable? maybe
do i have a point in saying "you can't just say: the9 you evil motherf*ckers, you are so damn a$$holes, you simply don't WANT to give us TBC"? yes i do. it's nonsense. its channeling your anger at someone, while the actual reasons lie within many different factors.
we all may not like them. i sure don't. i am not stating anything different from us all. i am sad and disgusted by this delay. i am just sick off non-founded, no backed-up flamethrowing at the9 or anyone, when the reasons for this are so many.
and while you channel your anger at them, please... argue.
it makes me write shorter posts because i don't have to explain so much.
bye for now, this thread is becoming useless.
