Latency Issues Playing from Beijing?

Hi all,

My friend and I are interested in moving to TCW from a Beijing server to hopefully start raiding. Back in Dec 2011, we made characters on your server but had latency problems during peak time of 6pm to midnight. Lag would jump as high as 1000 in empty starter zones, which would make raiding impossible to do. Outside of peak times, we get around 40ms.

I'm sure you guys have a few members from Beijing in your guild. Do they have any latency issues and if they do, how do they go about fixing it? Tunneling services?

it all depends on your internet provider.

China Unicom prevails in Beijing, so the WoW servers are Unicom's too there.
southern province mostly use China Telecom, so is the TCW's realm server.
but the ultimate solution would be to change to China Telecom.
it is possible to use 27net proxy, but I never used you, hope someone here can help with that

Tunneling service seems to be your only solution.

I've been using the proxy for quite a while now. It works really well.

Yeah, just like other mate said, proxy is the only method to fix this annoying issue, fortunately we have some free proxies available that you can try, I think it's enough, try Xunlei proxy(迅雷加速器) and UU proxy(UU加速器)

Proxy on 27net is the way to good. It cost around 27RMB per month and u will get consistence ping below 100ms. Money well worth it.
