With new Raid and PVP content coming soon, we'll definitely be needing a chat client to ensure that we can discuss strategies, give warnings and keep things moving forward. For the raiding in Cataclysm, we all used YY, which has generally worked pretty well, but I'm wondering if people would prefer to use Skype instead?

I don't really have any preference as both work fine, but one less piece of software on my computer is always good motivation to change.

So, do people prefer to use YY or Skype?

I would prefer Skype..... But does Skype have conference ability? And if so for 10 people?

I remember using skype when we were raiding on Taiwan and it was a nightmare with connections drop and stuff. Imagine when the one supposed to hold the conference is offline or lose the connection everybody else is out and you need to call eachother to get into the room. Back then I remember it was running ppl crazy.

YY is a much better tool for raiding. Also skype is a p2p service so you can't control how much bandwidth it will use for those with slow connections.

Personally I would prefer skype aswell.
YY always has something not working for someone as I remember from our rated BG group.

I don't know but I was wondering if you guys considered Ventrillo, probably the best program for this particular situation, Ive been using it on both US and EU servers on countless different guilds with no problems what so ever. So maybe you could look into it.
