Character Screen pop up with mouse click

For some reason everytime I left click my character screen comes up. I turned off my addons and went through keybindings and cannot find the reason. Any suggestions?

Definitely a keybind imo. Have you tried the "Reset to default" button on the keybind menu?

sounds liek its bound to a key that somehow manages to log you out. prtty cool if you can find the shortcut we can mess with a lot of people =D

Just for some clarification. It's your character screen that pops up or the character panel?

EDIT: When resetting your keybinds, make sure to accept the changes made. If you reset and just pressed [esc] after it won't affect anything.

Thats the error code I get when entering in that text.

Disables addons and that didnt help

What kind of mouse are you using? High chance it's the mouse software itself that assigned the toggle character panel key to left click.

wow u should rename ur addons folder first, start the game and see if u have the same problem!!!

It looks prettz much like addon problem (wrong version, conflict with other addons)

Is that the mouse with the Setpoint Software? If updating the software doesn't work, try to (while running WoW) close the application known as ipoint.exe. It shows up in task manager.

What version is it? I remember setpoint 4.7 to have issues remembering settings.

To be honest with you, it's strange.

This has happened to me once because of Bartender. I couldn't left-click or move the camera at all until I figured out that I had 2 Bartender bars that were hidden right in the middle of my screen. But you said yourself that wasn't the problem since you disabled all addons.

You also said you switched mice, and I'm hoping that the one you switched to wasn't of the same brand? If they were, then it's a mouse drivers problem. Especially since your Logitech mouse isn't of a standard model so it might need some fine tuning.
If the mice were of different brands, then I strongly believe that it's Windows related. Are you using Win7 64bit?

EDIT: I have found another version of the script I posted above. This should reset all the "weird" settings on your mouse.

Code:: /run SetBinding("BUTTON1","CAMERAORSELECTORMOVE")SetBinding("BUTTON2","TURNORACTION")SaveBindings(GetCurrentBindingSet())

EDIT 2: If the above fails, post the error message again and try this next.

YeaThey were not the same brand, I think it is now addon related. I think possibly that installing the addon changed settings and the seetings were somehow the same when the addon was turned off because I installed wow on a XP computer I have and am getting the same problem. Have not tried your ideas yet but will keep everyone posted.

And I use bartender too!

I also use vista at home.

update: I tried switching the mouse buttons and in game they switched as well. I also tried to run the code you gave me but no luck Sad

Have you tested the Bartender theory?

If you believe it's addon related, then try to check if there are any frames that could be causing this. Try resetting bartender profiles as well.
You can try the following for hidden frames:

Code:: /fstack

This should show all hidden frames but I doubt that's the problem. Still worth a try...

From what I understand of the problem:

You left click anywhere on the screen, character panel pops up.
You cannot even target npc's anymore.
You cannot move your camera.
This occurs ingame with any mouse.
Switching the buttons around leads to the same thing.

From the error list, I didn't see any mouse button modifying addons that I know of. Do you use a customised character panel? Are you pressing any other buttons then the left click when this problem occurs?

EDIT: I believe I've found your exact problem. Seems pretty common and no direct answer. What a pain.

if what uru said doesn't work either rename or delete your WTF folder.

That will reset your settings but should fix the problem.

From the error list, I didn't see any mouse button modifying addons that I know of. Do you use a customised character panel? Are you pressing any other buttons then the left click when this problem occurs?

What a pain. Then I guess you must delete your WTF file, delete your cache, and delete the Interface file. You can move the addons somewhere else.

mcnutface how did this problem appear? What did you do before you noticed it?
If it's not a game based problem then I'm afraid it's Windows. Something must be interfering with WoW at startup.

It started with the new version, also also loaded the game on another pc and had the same problem.

I did the fstack and it says <0> UIParent and <0>Worldframe,

Deleted cache wtf and interface but no result. Am looking into windows problems now.

Hello folks, sorry for necroing.

But I have the same problem right now, in two different computers, different mouses etc. I still have it.

What exactly is "lingos"? How do I solve this problem : ((

EDIT: OK, sorry. I have two language programs one is a chrome addon the other is kingsoft. I turned them off both and now I have no issues : ))

Just for clarification in the future, WoW has some issues working when playing with translators opened.
