Hello and welcome

to the Foreign Community at Chinese World of Warcraft. This thread was created to inform you on the main servers where we are located and its active guilds. Please note that I am not forcing anybody to come play on the realms mentioned in title.

Note: This thread was created not for telling people which server is better. Determining which server is better for you is YOUR choice.

MAINLAND CHINA

CN1 (Shanghai area)

1. Server: Maduolan/玛多栏 PVE
Location: CN 1
Faction: Horde and Alliance
Guild: Cow Eaters
STATUS:ACTIVE

Cow Eaters:

Located on the Alliance side of the server, the Cow Eaters are a very beginner-friendly guild and it gets better at level 80!
Furthermore, the whole guild speaks English with a great community formed of people across the world. Perfect.

Location: CN1
Faction: Horde
Guild: Name Unknown-PM Akasha for an invite
STATUS: UNKNOWN. Due to Wotlk's arrival, the guild could have returned.

3. Server: Alterac / 澳得兰克 PVP
Location: CN1
Faction: Horde
Guild Name: the Crazy Waiguorens
STATUS: ACTIVE
This guild is back in the game! With the cooperation of multiple foreigners, a lot of people from CN1 have gathered here! And it's growing and getting ready for Cataclysm the 12th July! Drop by to say hi! This is THE first time people have gathered!

Faction: Alliance
Guild: Laowai Club

A brand new guild, still in the process of leveling, with small but effective group of players. Core members will stay in China for years. They developing extremely quickly, and already have had their first raid, along with a few laowai 80's!

A brand new english speaking guild. Currently gearing up for 4.3 and leveling other characters. Refer-A-Friend will be used to recruit new members if needed.

TAIWAN

Server:雷鱗- Stormscale
Location: Taiwan
Faction: Horde
Guild: WTF
STATUS: ACTIVE

A guild made of the ex-members of All Gear No Skill guild. A wonderful mixture of foreigners and locals, along with Cataclysm. There are more than 20 level 80 or higher characters as well as the +5% experience guild buff.

Location: Taiwan
Faction: Alliance
Guild: coffeenottea
STATUS: ACTIVE

A casual guide, not much into raiding so far but more of a community than anything else. So far, they have 41 characters that are level 85. Guild members are mostly from Malaysia and its neighboring countries, as well as players from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Russia, Canada and Great Britain.

get a better internet connection

choose a server that is closer to where you live

try the reg fix, "Leatrix Latency Fix" just google it to download
it seems that this reduces latency for some people, it didn't have an effect for me unfortunately, but you might have more luck

Argh. And I thought manually writing the link would work for your armory. I'll have to look into it later; right now, my browser is experiencing trouble showing the specific adress for guild rosters. So instead of a link to your guild, it gives me a link to the Taiwan armory Rolling Eyes

Heya guys,

I'm based in Shanghai but im getting crazy latency on CN1 to both bronzebeard and maudolan...any ideas why or any quick fix (i will be getting a VPN but im in SH so i thought connection woudnt be a major issue....

Just installed it and it doesnt seem to be making an huge difference right now....maybe i need to be using my home connection and not work...or maybe a vpn would help if im here...

Hey I just would like to inform you of a smaller guild called Eclipse 2区屠磨山谷 we are just starting out and are all from beijing mainly from one of the international schools here. We are on the horde side and are currently gearing up our characters in preparation of 4.3 coming out soon. Smile

I would be happy to see anyone who would like to join whether they are english speakers or not. (My Skype is Oxiide5195 if you would like to get in contact with me) Side note: This website is really helpful for those interested in playing in china thanks it has helped me a ton in finding how to alter my game client to turn it english.

Hello Liink, I will mention your guild in the original post. However, please post in the Beijing section of the forum to advertise about your guild as well (something along the lines of what you did here).

where are all the foreigners at these days? I logged into Alterac on horde and tried to do /who could not find anyone ..are people still playing there or not really?
