What's the problem exactly?

I was on around 5pm then went back at 7pm could not connect.  found this message in chinese when i used the launcher.



now i can't add photo.

I have the same problem. After logging in, a message appears "Patch required" and I have to restart. But it seems this patch has been only released here in China. Update with European or American settings not possible ("Game is up to date"). After changing Launcher.db to "zhCN" the following message is shown when I start the Launcher:

Only to find out what the problem is, are you playing with a Mac or Windows PC?
I had this problem before with a Chinese Mac version (which officially doesn't exist) and had to update it in Windows then.

On a mac.

There was a small update to the Korean version of WOW and to be consistent, every client had to be updated to the same version. You should be able to update with the launcher now.

I tried enUS on the launcher "game up to date".

Then tried zhCN on the launcher "same chinese message as above"

Still not able to get on  

Hmm ok it seems to be a "Mac problem", in China there is no Macversion. I will try to update my Windowsversion in Bootcamp and after copying back to the Mac it will hopefully work...

Ok reply back with what happen. Then I like some advice on how you did it. Because I have not done it that way before.

My Windowsversion of WoW is corrupt and I have to download & reinstall it now...arghh. So it may take a few hours...

Don't have this problem at all and I'm playing on a mac as well.

Hmm maybe there where some problems with the update this morning, no idea. Meanwhile I could also update my client with changing launcher.db to "deDE" ("enUS" should then also work). Setting the launcher.db on "zhCN" still causes this error, I guess because of the non-existing chinese Mac-version. However, WoW works again...
Thx to Uru, otherwise I would still watch the download of the full client.

not fair still having the problem.....

In the file launcher.db change "zhCN" into "enUS" and start the launcher. It should update now.

The game says it is up to date, when I do this.

what Mac OS are you using?

I haven't done anything different than before.

wipe and reinstall the WOW files???

Hmm strange...I have 10.8 Mountain Lion, but I don't think this has any influence.
Ok it's just a try, change the launcher.db to "deDE" instead of "enUS". Hopefully it will update with this setting. If it's still not working then, I can upload my WoW start files (WoW app, Launcher app,...) and you can replace yours.

When I change to deDE I get the same message but in German, then tried enGB message in english.

Just changed the config file to all parts zhCN still no go.

Will try your files if you can upload (nice man). If that doesn't work then reinstall all.   

It's shouldn't be zhCN in the config file, but "cn" as in:

Try renaming the launcher to launcher.app.bak (.bak means backup).

Let's try the next. Here you can download the files. These are the files in the WoW main folder, backup your files first and then replaced it with mine. Then start the game with the WoW.app not with the Launcher...

tried the first thing " turn off router for an hour"
