Best VPN in China

Hi Everyone,

Since I've installed internet at my new (and huge, and amazing, and incredible, and...) home, I'm looking for a worthy VPN.
I mean, I was using Overplay VPN, but suddenly an error appears and was so funny that I need a VPN to repair my VPN!
So I've cancelled my suscription with them and now I'm looking for a new one.
In Spain, I was checking hidemyass, but here in China is blocked...

So, could a have feedback for your experience? A bit of knowledge about the ones you are using right now.
Price is not the key point for me. I mean, of course is important, but I prefer have more connection speed instead of save a couple of bucks everymonth...
Oh, and if Hulu and youtube has good speed that would be great! And to be perfect, also have android version... (^o^)

Astrill, its the best that Samish has used, multiple servers in multiple countries, are able to switch between them freely (ie no limit), hulu works great, never needed to use their customer service, as Samish has never had a problem ^^.

Hey,

I'm using Express VPN,

Good speed, multiple servers, multiple country's
For Android I use an app that saves my vpn settings and connects since the standard way is too annoying with password etc.

Tried to contact the helpdesk once but they were blocked as well here in China, but they inmediatly changed the website discription in google saying "WE ARE BLOCKED PLEASE REFER TO OUR WEBSITE IN .ORG INSTEAD OF .COM" pretty nice since this site worked again Smile

Helpdesk was quick in response so I'm overal satisfied Smile

But what about downloading speed? could I access to Fileserver and so on with quite good speed?
Personally I prefer Astrill interface (and price)... But I want to know your feedback about Kbs/second while watching hulu and downloading files.

Dont know if this is valuable information for you but.

I'm premium at fileserver, my internet connection is 4MB with the VPN my download speed is about 400kb/s.

Which is likely the maximum my slow chinese internet can handle Smile

Hi Stixx, the page of the VPN you're talking about seems blocked...

EDIT : No it's ok, I wasn't on the good one. Need that address with a bolt beetwen.

Hi Pouetpou,

You must to try to open the .info site, not .com
It's just a couple of rows bellow the .com when you google express Vpn.

I have purchased 1 month to try it, and seems quite good... I have had a problem with my personal laptop and technical service is quite quick replying....
As soon as I have more information about it I will post it here

Well i am amazed that vendor like Overplay is having such issues in China. and the message which you have mentioned above is literally quiet funny one. I am also using it but never seen such a message. However, hma is not accessible from China so you can use eitehr PureVPN or StrongVPN. You have another option and that is IAPS which is comparatively expensive then the rest providers.
one of my friend is in china and using purevpn because they have a very good and prompt customer support and 24/7 chat support. I think this makes them rates as among the top most china vpn in an affordable cost.

I will tell you my experience with Express VPN:

At the beggining always was perfect in my office: Hulu runs great, facebook too... youtube... everything.
Then I went back home.
here, I must to say that I have more speed connection at home than in my office. (such bullshit connection there!).
I wanted to install into another laptop... First problem!
Express VPN give you an activation code to allow you to install the software, but nobody asked you to note it! My memory could be quite good, but not enough to remember that code!
So, mail to service center.
Quick reply. Give me another code.
I install it... works, but more slowly than my office...
I thought is a computer problem, so I decide to install it in my main laptop (the one I've bought only to play WoW at 60fps...)
BUT, this laptop don't accept the tap adapter instalation (still don't know why)
So, mail the service center again.
They suggest me install openVPN to get the virtual tap (funny), and they give me a link to download it, but that link was blocked by our friend the chinese great firewall...
I've replied to them (now communication is more slowly, several hours to reply) and gave me another solution: use VPN dialler.
I use it, and here is the most funnny thing... my wifi crashed!!!
PANIC MODE ON!
I still don't know how (because my chinese level is null) I connect to the router and get it back.

So, sorry for them, but I'm not going to renew with Express VPN...

My next target is Astrill,because it seems that have the common interface of user and password.
Let's see how it works....

I will keep you informed about the experience.

Worked pretty good for me.
I can recommend to choose their USA server located in California.
My ping to Youtube is about 170 msec. It's not bad for China.

I am spanish too! where are you???
And about the VPN, do you have blackouts or something like that? I mean, I use ExpressVPN and sometimes stop working because of... you know.
And what about Hulu ping and La Sexta ping? I like to watch Salvados, but atresplayer need VPN to watch, and many times is way too slow to allow to watch a program...
