Hi everyone,

Using US version to play on sever laisishuangyu realm i got the same prob as all of u

I dled the 2.0.1 patch but
Found no way to actually put this patch to work
If somebody have a suggestion on how to use those two .mpq files, i would be eternaly thankfull



I also heard here and there that this 2.0.1 patch won t help and can t replace the 1.12.3 anti stealing ID chinese patch

So maybe instaling the chinese version might be wise
But a friend told me that she can t install a chinese version on her bf's laptop since the ES is in in English
I saw by reading your posts that some of you are running both versions of wow
How did you manage ?
Are u using a Chinese ES ?


Any clues or advice will be mostly welcome
It s been a week and it begin to feel like an eternity since i was able to log in

Maybe i'm stupid and all ( no guys don't answer this one!!!), but what's an ES? I'm running the Chinese version since the beginning on a French laptop. Could maybe help you one this one.

Try "Exploitation System"... Euh... sorry to have answered anyway...


And to answer the question above, I don't think the "ES" language has anything to do with that... I have a Chinese Windows (Yeah, yeah, respect me now ) and I run the Chinese and French version of the game, and a friend do the same thing with a US Windows... So...

I Installed wow Chinese version this morning
Working perfectly fine and feel so good to be back in the game :-)

Some friends apprently found a way to fix the 1.12.3 patch problem
So we would all be able to play with our US or French versions
If it s working i m surely gonna post the solution here
But to try i must reinstall my US version

In order to install that chinese version i had to remove my US version first
apperently both version were interacting, and clicking on the install.exe file just runned my US version

I m trying to put back my US version now, but same problem
I would have to remove my chinese version apparently
That sucks

I saw that some of you were using both versions
I got only one partition in my hard drive
does the problem comes from here ?

Should i really remove my chinese version to install my US version again ?

Hum... Did you tried to just rename your files ?! Especially if it's on the same partition, it may cause some problems...
Rename the one you are not using and try again...



And don't wait too long before giving us your tips for the patch problem !!

Did not tried it yet
but i guess your impatience is growing by the minute so i post here the tip

Please don t be mad if it does not work out
Since i had no time to try it yet

1.Copy these four files :wow.exe,wowerror.exe,scan.dll,fmod.dll from wow chinese edition 1.12.3 to your english edition wow's root dirctory,remember to backup your primer files above;
2.Copy patch-3.mpq to data directory;
3.Compile this source file to a exculted file wow1123.c.ps,you should use gcc or vc complier.then run this complied exe file (wow1123.exe) to play.

I heard that the 2.0.1 will be update on Chinese server next week...maybe it is better to wait

If you want both versions on your system, just rename the folder of the first install, then install the second. I have both World of Warcraft and World of WarcraftCN folders, and am able to run either version fine (when the patches match up).

Did anyone try Daidou's tip??

I don't know anything about compilers... but if it worked.. I'll learn..
