for Fallout, I will really not care at all of the graphics. They could keep the graphics of the first one and i would still buy it.

That answer is easy, to let the hype build up.

some people like the doods that made stalker let the hype build up, got some delays and had their hype died slowly... I think 1 year in advance for a game makes no frikkin sense

actually alot of games get hyped WAY before their release date. eg. starcraft2, halo 3,warhammer online and they usually sell well when they do this

they're really good games.

yep fallout 1 and 2 were KA (freedom feeling, nice 2D graphism, nice post apocalyptical story, good fighting system)
