I registered on this board around May while looking for a solution for the WoW US client. I got a lot of help from Naklin, Daedanus and others (Thank you all!
), so I haven't forgotten to check this board again
So, back to the main topic.
I really feel bad for you guys! Today is August 28th and NO TBC in sight! I don't know what's taking The9 so long to release TBC? I heard some rumors it is government interference? Is the company broke? Unable to upgrade the hardware?
Most of you already know the next expansion has already been announced right? Wrath of the Lich King http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/wrath. If the delay continues, China may get to play both expansions at the same time lol.
Seriously, what's going on over there?
Meanwhile a heads up from Taiwan:
Meanwhile the Taiwan servers have been experiencing a MASSIVE INFLUX of mainland chinese who are tired of waiting and want to play The Burning Crusade. While it is good that they are able to come and play, it has also created many problems
- Conflicts between Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. Most Taiwanese cannot read Simplified Chinese, and are not familiar with PinYin. Also character names created with Simplified Chinese are unreadable in the Trad. Chinese version.
- Tension between the 2 groups of people (mostly caused by the trad. chinese/simp. chinese, pinyin, and politics discussion)
- Large login queues. The Taiwan servers were set up with a 200K playerbase in mind, but the unexpected influx of mainland chinese created massive queues (1000+) for a lot of servers.
