i just bought a new card.
on the back there is the number and below it, there is another space to scratch, looks like a lotery grid or something.
Anybody know what it is ?

its like a 2nd pin system.

the game will ask you for 3 random fields (a4, g7, etc) and you have to input correct numbers on a rotary disc.
the number you can scratch directly above the matrix field, is the random seed used to generate the 100 fields and must be input into your account profile on the9 website.

this measure is to prevent trojans and keyloggers to catch your login information.
the pin1 code with random positioning for numbers was easily logged by click and key loggers and / or trojans. this one goes one step further.

when do you need to input the security number ? anyway, i know how to do if it asks thx Nak !!

you have to configure it in your account page on the9 website.
if YOU dont activate it and YOU dont tell the system to be using matrix ccard, it wont ask you.

on the other hand, the9 will not help with stolen or bad accounts if no matrix card is used.

Is it possible to use these reload cards on the US version of the game? I currently play on US servers, I'm sure that changes things a bit. Thanks in advance.

I thought the grid was for account creation, when i enter the 3 random grid numbers is that validating my account or creating a second emergency pin?
