Hey, i noticed patch 2.3 was going out on full testing in the US servers. I was woundering if this patch will be released at the same time in the US as china (or 1 or 2 weeks close)
or if it is going to be released a long time after. (for example BC was released about a year later in china)

I download the patch but now when i try to log on it doesnt seem to try and authenticate or anythign it just keeps saying DISCONNECTED FROM SERVER and nothing happens.

Any replies woudl be good...

:-) , i went to to chinese wow web site and i saw that the 2.3 patch was planned but I didn't understand when ... I guess in a few days :-p ... or not :-s

I think it would be soon, but i still don't know when exactly.

there is no point in "guessing". Sometimes we get patched at the exact same day sometimes we get patched about 3-9 weeks later (yes yes) or like in TBC case even over half a year. lol...

but this is china, the country that tought me patience. what difference does it make?

so, rule of thumb:
PATCHES ALWAYS on the NIGHT FROM MONDAY TO TUESDAY during server maintenance. Any other day there won't be a patch.

another important rule: DONT GIVE A DAMN which patch is out in the USA / EU. if it is not out yet in china, you can feel free to download it, but for christ sake, DONT INSTALL IT, or you simple CANT PLAY anymore. And as the patch sometimes takes WEEKS to get out here, you might be royally screwed.
So use some Download link from wowwiki to download it or whatever, but NOT the automatic download thingie from blizzard. try to disable that, because once Download is done it will auto-patch your game without asking you.

Another thing, on EVERY patch, the realmlist.wtf gets overwritten and re-set to EU or US servers. so you will have to re-edit again, and we will have to answer the same question "i patched and now i can't logon to the game anymore" questions here again.

Good luck, keep waiting, stop guessing, enjoy the game, and when a patch is out, its out. until then, simply play

Maintenance is on Tuesday morning, and remember TBC, it began thursday night, so your rule is not true :p

Well guys the patch is out for china, i'm downloading it now lets see if its evil or not...on wwo china they say 268MB and on my downloader for the english version its 298MB hope it wont bug....

that's odd... well i dont know mine is from 2.2.3.7359 to 2.3.0.7561 and its 298MB.... 41% atm....

the 4 digit version is identic. That's usually a good sign ... wait and see
