I am a US server player. Like all of you, I can't connect to US servers and US official website after the blockage. I did some research and found out there is a way to connect to US server. I subscribed a US Virtual Private Network(VPN) account and i am able to connect and play US WoW now. The theory is i am using my internet connection to connect to the VPN, then connect to any server or website u want. The VPN provider is www.strongvpn.com. my plan is $45USD for 3 months. There is another US VPN provider www.witopia.net. their plan is much cheaper $39.99/year. The speed of my provider is ok. around 500ms to 1.5k ms. sometimes, it is higher, but it's quite stable so far. I haven't tried witopia one, but people from shanghaiexpats forum said that it's good too. If u've tried witopia and found that it's good too. please leave your feedback.

For those people who play in EU or TW server, i think it will be better if u find some EU or TW local VPN providers. I hope my info could help u guys.

yes. ping in wow is around 500ms to 1500 ms. sometimes, it might pop up to 2k ms, but it will go down. i can heal in heroic without problem. usually it stay around 500ms.

this ping is unfortunately too high for raiding :'(

But thats a good news for casual gamers

sadly have to aggree with dead.
in fights where you have "exactly" 1.5 seconds to get your heal off (and that also mean you need fast reaction), 500+ ms is simply a cause to wipe all night long on a boss.

yet for the casual gamer and 5-man runner its god news, yes.
