every week there is a 12h maintenance post in the wowchina website even thoough routine maintenance is only 3 to 5h. there is no 3.0 file to DL, so it's 100% chance that it's not for this week...

bleh...during the 9 months it took them to release TBC expansion, they also had multiple extended maintenance and everytime someone will say 'its this week' lol. File this under bullshit. Although i would like to be proven wrong.

I think before we get 3.x.x, The9 will start their advertisement machinery. We will see Arthas, Lichking, Death knights on all Coca Cola cans around China, Outdoor-Shows will be held in Shanghai, Beijing, etc.

They will not upgrade the Game in a secret way.

He says that 3.0 arrives in 8 december and WOLK is still not approved by government...

He just says that he knows it from inside 9C source, but i guess anyone can also pretend

Anyways, they already lost me as a player and it seems thay are loosing a lot more, but, as soon as they open WOLK, all players will come back the same way they did for TBC (including me, i guess )

The9 (Nasdaq: NCTY) plans to release patch 3.0.1 for its licensed MMORPG World of Warcraft (WoW) sometime after in-game activity "Arena Season 4" closes on December 8. Arena Season 4, an instanced playfield for team battles, opened on July 4. Gamer information and points earned in the arena will not be deleted after it closes.

An unnamed WoW gamer said on December 2 that The9 planned to release a patch with 8G capacity on December 8.

i've seen the official news about the end of season4 arena in wowchina.com (4 december news if im right), but what will happen after ??? there is no season 5... Anyone knows ?

On the US servers they released the patch after Arena Season 4 ended and a month later WOTLK came out. It should be the same here(except the WOTLK coming out part) as the chinese cannot create another Arena season/rewards if Blizz didnt in the US.

Dont get your hopes up though. Even if they release 3.0 and you have fun for a while, then you have to wait for them to bring out WOTLk and it took them long to bring out BC even after patching to 2.0.

My "friend" who has a "friend" at 9C.. (take that for EXACTLY what it's worth).. said that they are holding WLK (as it is referred to by the Chinese) for 3 conditions:
1. The whole Death Knight thing is really evil.. but it seems they have dealt with that some how.
2. If #1 is indeed dealt with, this is exam time. EVERYONE knows how this would effect the kids' studies so we DEFINITELY won't get anything during exams.
3. Spring Festival (4-6 week school holiday) is coming up which means HUGE net bar revenue if WLK is launched for the holiday.

Having said all of that.. IF it's true, the earliest we could expect to see WLK is for Tues. 20th patch. Most exams are done by Friday 16th... and the holiday starts Monday the 19th.

I think I made it pretty clear that this is JUST a rumor.. but hey.. any hope is hope.. enjoy.. and if I'm right.. SOMEONE on CN4 better send me Rumsy Rum as a thank you and ANYONE in WUHAN better BUY ME A BEER.. but deliver it.. I'll be in Northrend..
