The Wrath of the Lich King opening event continues tonight. Orgrimmar is under attack. If it hasn't happened yet on your server it will soon (Not really for us...). The major points of the attack are as follows:

- Thrall is fighting Garrosh Hellscream in the Ring of Valor. Hellscream wins.
- Frost Wyrms and Abominations are attacking the Valley of Honor in Orgrimmar.
- Sylvanas can be seen marching around the Valley of Honor with a contingent of skeleton soldiers.
- The event appears to repeat itself every 20 minutes
- The Horde leaders are all talking to each other about the war with Arthas in-between Thrall fighting Hellscream.
-There are many reports that the necropolises have left the major cities.
-In Stormwind, Varian Wynn, Bolvarr, and a few other nobles are standing under a tent in the Harbor. They are offering quite a bit of new flavor text when you talk to them.
-Stormwind Harbor is being attacked with Frost Wyrms and Abominations. The --King and his company of nobles are defending the Harbor the best they can.

The battles against the Scourge in Stormwind and Orgrimmar continue to rage (once every 20 minutes), but if you're not in a position where you can see the event firsthand, some fantastic readers have contributed some videos for us, and for all of you.

You can see the Orgrimmar version and the Stormwind below.
Neither video does the chaos of the event justice, but no video ever will. It's something you need to be there for, I think. No video gives you the "holy crap, did that just happen!?" feel of Varian Wrynn leaping through the air and tearing an abomination asunder. The fight between Thrall and Garrosh is ridiculously cool, too. I highly recommend trying to see these events before they go away, but these videos will do for now, and our thanks go out to Chrono of Silvermoon-EU and Ben H. for them.

Tipster Brad pointed out to us that the official World of Warcraft site is now full Wrath of the Lich King. All traces of the Burning Crusade have now been put in the freezer except for the forums, although we should expect to see changes there relatively soon. The old page showed images of Draenei and Blood Elves, with the World of Warcraft logo merely half-frozen, with the rest of the logo in Outland-ish green. Given that the launch of the latest expansion is less than A DAY away! Blizzard seems to have gone full throttle with the transition.

Except for the forums' Burning Crusade logo and greenish background, there are no more traces of the Burning Crusade's design on the official site. [UPDATE: The forums have changed to a Wrath of the Lich King design, as well.] Excitement is ramping up for Wrath, and we're caught up in it with a massive prize giveaway. We even redesigned the site just a few days earlier than Blizzard's minor cosmetic change. Now that the official site has gone full Wrath of the Lich King, we just might feel Arthas' influence a little more in-game.

Note: if you aren't getting the Wrath page, you should try holding down the Shift key when refreshing the page. This should force the browser to get new data from the website (instead of the cache).

I guess that the ping is quite better... If Korean player are playing WOW as good as they are playing SC it might be interesting to reroll on korean servers.

Because i guess that the only country where WOLTK will not be launche too late and where the ping shouldn't be to bad.
China to wow europe : 800-3000ms
China to wow us: 700-2000ms

dunno about russian servers since the homepage is host on wow europe http://www.wow-europe.com/ru/index.xmll
Indeed it's possible to transfer from europeans servers to russian servers, so if the ping isnt too bad, it will be great.

since i know i'll go back to France in middle 2009, the best way for me is a place where I could transfer my toons (to france after) with a "not too bad ping" from Shanghai for the moment...
trying to see more about russian servers but I got too much error pages LOL, that's not the week of the net in shanghai for me XD

maybe that's possible to tracert the russian server to check the ping ?

guys reduced their ping from 5000ms to 400_800ms, you can try the service 2hours for free.

400 ms is fine 800ms sucks.

I just got my wotlk key last night by mail. Account in Germany is already updated.

I bought the key at www.mmoga.de (in english www.mmoga.com)

They also have the link for the BT download. (84% finsih actual)
HOPEFULLY I can check it out this evening.

The next days I will setup my alarm at 4:00AM. At this time I can play at german server with 1000ms. (During daytime I have 5000ms)

But next week, after the first rush on european servers is done, I will try this proxy-service.

next week i'll create a french account, then test without the proxy service to check my ping. then i'll test (2 Hours free) with the proxy service.

The cost is 51RMB/ months

i'll probably creat a char in "conseil des ombres" RP-PVP server, I got some french friends there.

I just have to download WOLTK and find one cd key before tomorrow morning.

It sounds like an interesting solution.

But the problem is that even if i get back on my french account, I would not be able to play with my friend because of delay. It should be enough to discover the extension through the levelling from 70 to 80 but after, for PVE content, it will get really difficult.

If we donot get more information during the next few weeks concerning wotlk in China, then i guess i would also use this proxy.

But for the moment, I keep playing here... w8 & c

so let's go to the same server we'll play together with our delay lol

It seems that we cant update account anymore... i will buy a cdkey on MMOGA when it will working again. However i dont know when i can achieve the download. That's fucking too slowly.

Suzhou-Alex can you burn it then send it to me by mail ?

I paid by paypal on weekend. Got the key yesterday, 6 hours before northrend opened. Updated this morning 6am. But download not finished right now.
maybe later is finished, but then I'm drunk. :-)
mmoga has good reputation for fast delivery of gold, so I guess you will get your key fast.
the download is around 8GB, so people around jiantse-delta should come on weekend to Suzhou with a external harddisk.
the client is multilanguage. ENG, ger, fre, esp. That's what I heard.
