Hello guys,

This is the list I promised. Hope it is posted in the right place. I'm not trying to make it comprehensive because many players are quite familiar with the game. The purpose of this list is to make our raid life easier. As you can imagine, coordinating a 40-membered team mixed with people from different language backgrounds could be much more difficult than raiding itself.

Here are our problems: Our guild is on a Chinses server but we will raid in English. How to make sure a Chinese player knows what the team wants him or her to do, and how to make sure international players can understand Chinese players' valuable advice(and lovely bugs)? That's why this list is created.

The list consists of 5 parts, namely:
1. Class names - What is the rogue you are talking about? We only have DZ here!
2. Frequently Used Spells and Abilities in Raiding - Imagining we are in a raid team, someone is shouting at others "hey! USE THAT SPELL! THAT SPELL!" and no one responds, then he is likely to feel upset in a short time. So, we need this.
3. Name of instances - "I can solo DM in 10 mins." "Are u sure?"
4. Name of Bosses - Completely unofficial, but much more applicable
5. Something in Common - We do have something in common

Here we go. The list contains 2 columns. The Original is on the left, and the Chinese version on the right.

这是我先前说过要写的列表.目前我不想把这份列表做的过于详尽,因为我相信很多人对游戏已经很熟悉了.写这份列表的目的是为了方便我们进行Raid. 可以想象，当40个来自不同语言背景的玩家一同进行raid时，如何指挥协调好团队可能比raid本身还难的多。

我们现在的问题是：我们的公会在中国服务器上，而我们在raid时毫无疑问会使用英语。虽然来这里的中国玩家都有一定的英文基础，但要确保一位中国玩家明白团队交给他的任务，或者确保外国玩家能明白中国玩家提出的建议仍然是很困难的。因此，我想到了做这个列表。

列表包括5部分，分别是：
1. 职业名字 - 我们习惯了拼音的简写法，不过外国玩家未必熟悉，所以我们最好也学一下英文的原名
2. Raid常用技能和法术 - 在raid中想要提醒队友使用某种技能，却又苦于叫不出那种法术的名字，世界上最痛苦的事情莫过于此，这部分相当重要。我罗列了联盟各个职业在raid中常用的技能，不过由于我也没有玩过全部职业，所以缺漏的地方请大家帮忙补足
3. 副本名字 - 同样，我们一般用拼音简写，写这部分的目的一是为了让国外玩家能理解我们的拼音叫法，二是让我们也能了解他们的习惯用法
4. Boss名字 - 这都是我们服务器上惯常的叫法，所谓入乡随俗，国外玩家会需要这个
5. 相同的叫法 - 有些英文的缩略是大家都能懂的，我暂列了一些比较常用的，同样希望大家补充

列表包含两栏，左边是原版名字，右边是中文叫法，或者是中文习惯叫法

3. Name of Instances: (I only list those called by Chinese players in English letters)
在此我只罗列出我们习惯用英文称呼的副本名字，对中国玩家来说看到右边的应该就知道是哪里了，因此我也不需要写明中文名了。

(This one is special. Usually we will not kill all bosses in this instance and we have two main routes. If u are aiming at the Death Knight, then it is called DK. If u choose that Dreadlord as your final boss, then it's called STSM)

4. Name of Bosses: (I only list Raid Bosses who have their nicknames)
There is a common rule for calling raid bosses: All Bosses in Raiding are usually called by their order in the instances. Eg: Ragnaros is the 10th Boss in MC, so he can be called No.10. When it comes to certain instances which don't have a fixed order for raiding(such as some selective bosses which you can avoid), we have given them orders by ourselves and I will list them here.

Could someone from the hord help us to translate the "frequently used spells and abilities in raiding" that have been done by Heal for hord?

It's kinda unfair for the shamans...

hey do you guys know the shortcuts (DM for diremaul/deadmines) for the Burning Crusade instances? the main page instance guide is realy helpful but i can only type in ping yin, some chinese fellas dont get it.

also how do i say "LFG KLZ" or "LFG Jianyu" (for mass spam on lfg channel)

other than that - *instance* kai zu, x=x, you ren lai ma? is correct right?

could some one throw me a link to the tutorila of writing chinese in game pls, i saw it last week somewhere here.

i'd like to add on one more important term for hunters:

Misdirection - 误导 (wu dao)

One thing i've frequently heard in UT/TS and seen during both raids and BG's is the term 男人(man),女人(woman). Does anyone know what they're talking about?

Eveyone, I'm updating the glossary at that moment to be ready for WOTLK.

All classes spell will be translated, most skills important stuffs to know (all herbs, gems, skins, cloth...), new cities, new monsters....

I needed to do that for a long time (haven't never really updated that glossary)

I would like you guys to tell me what you need or would like to be translated and, if already done, to send me your translations.
I will not translate all the game, it's not the point, just the basics to help everyone play together.
