My girlfriend is Chinese and can almost speak English fluently but she feels a lot more comfortable reading mandarin, while alternatively I am a native English speaker and can only speak a little Mandarin.

Hence we would both like to play on a US server but use different clients.

So is it possible for her to us a Chinese WoW client to connect to a US server? and thus have all the Quest / Interface text in english?

Technicaly I think it's possible, by changing the realmlist, but the chinese client don't have the same patch as the us client, we are still in 2.4.3 in China, so i don't think that you can play in US server with chinese client...

I think you can, taiwan we'll soone relase wotlk, just check here maybe http://www.wowtaiwan.com.tw/ you ll get more info and a date and a way to dl client but in traditional chinese it will be... still no news in china the9 suxx hard that's no a scoop.

check with other chinese speker countries and check if they have independent relase as the9, maybe singapore, hongkong..

when your DL s donem just change copy your realmlist.wtf folder from your client to her client, or change the server address manualy.
this filder should be in wow/data/ (*ur language)/realist.wtf
(yes it change place with the version 3.0.x)

One more question though, can you change an installation of the US client to Chinese by downloading updates? Or do you need to download the entire game from scratch.
