With some mates we decided to play on PVP realm 山丘之王 shanghai 1 hord side since PVE is a bit borring when you are waiting for RAID....
We ofcourse continue to play on PVE realm 玛多兰 alliance side. We'll see if we are enougth on PVP server to create a guild here too and then do events and kill LM everywhere...

yep this is a big difference I just wanna do a genocide of LM ...soon I hope. But for the moment my lvl 12 Warlock Manix (naturaly protected) isn't able to destroy any bullshit of LM... I'll work hard on it with some mates when i'll back to shanghai on 7 January.

I just moved to Shanghai yesterday. I 'm glad to see there are some people on PvP Horde, even though it says everone is on PvE Alliance.

Soon as I fugure out how to get onto the Shanghai servers I'll look for you in game?

Back in the US I played a Feral Druid, a Frost Mage, and a Prot Pally. I'm not sure what I should roll here.

ok so I did everything accrding to the FAQ, but I think I wond up somehow picking the wrong area. I cant find the 山丘之王realm on my realm list. I did choose number 1 when the choice came up, but I think things might have changed since the FAQ was written.

Number 1, was paired with number 4, and it had the name of a ISP with it, not a city. My wife is chinese and she helped me thought it, but she wasn't sure either.

Any help would be great. I need to pick a new area because my ping is like 500+ on any of the realms in my list.

Ohh hm, but if you chose area 1/4 then you should be on the right servers!

Check that the realm list in WoW has the tab [Area 1] selected. it's at the bottom of the realm list.
The ping should be fine if you have a decent connection. It's also a shanghai server so i don't know if your location may be the problem

That makes sence. I was reading on another web page about how to mod your US wow to work in china. It had a part about editing the base.mpq file in your data folder. However that file didn't exist for me so it didn't help.

I did manage to get onto the server I was trying to get to even though I still can see it in my realm list.

I'm wondering though if anyone knows what I'm talking about when I say that the only realm list option that comes up for me is Latin America. Then when I select it I see the Guandong servers list.

Hey guys, i've been playing on 山丘之王 Server 1 for a while now, and my friend and I are waiting to see you guys in game now =P
im currently a 16 warlock while he's a 14 mage. Both bloodelves =D

I played on that server pretty much all day Friday and Sunday. Anytime between noon and midnight my ping is about 600. I play the game for pvp, and 600 ping wouldn't allow me to have fun the in the arena so I started trying the other servers in S1.

I settled on 尘风峡谷, where my ping has been 75-300.

China is driving my wow life crazy.

yea actually WTF is with the ping lately??? from 7:35 to about midnight my latency goes wack.. and so does all my friends who play from xiamen on our server.. we are server 4 and have never lagged like this b4.. any ideas?

yeah, mine shot up to 800 this morning when my internet connection was perfectly fine.. weird o__O

my friend says that the chinese are repairing their internet lately.. i didnt get any lag earlier today so maybe they finally finished... /hope lol anyways im thinking about joining yall on the pvp server but horde seems to lose all BGs recently >.>

I'm back finaly, so buzy hollidays in France and here also since 3 weeks :S ! SHAMY ! come on ! I just mouved my toon BURNINGHEAD (warlock LVL61) to 山丘之王 realm ! It cost 2 cards and to creat a numerical password. If anyone need to change realm PVP to PVP, or PVP to PVE I could let him know how to do :p
So i'm starting now my LM genocide finaly, happy huhu

Squating NAGRAN sometimes, and waiting for more PVP area such as NAGRAN but with better interest for the reward, maybe in the future patch..2.4 ?

we usualy do head hunting sometimes... but not gey kill a ganking... we help the LM to finish its MOB before kill him. If he can be full life and mana it's better. If he want to go, must kill him noway.. We're very roll play, we cannot see humans, gnomih, elf, dranei or other ally and say hello..no...we need kill them

First of all I would like to extend a bit THANKYOU to all you posters who contributed to helping me establish a wow account in wowchina. You guys are truly a great bunch

I have successfully installed everything..made account..logged on and played on the chinese servers. However my problems is this:

- All the players text appear as "?"s including my own when I try to type in 汉字 hanzi. Also, All the realm lists appear as a "?" too but i got round that using tips supplied on forums. What I need to do is get hold of that FONT DOWNLOAD but i can find it anywhere? Can someone please supply a link

I have many yrs wow experience -- completely addicted to wow --- and lov pvp. I just recently lost 2 accounts that were located in the US. I was still playing them from China but too slow. So I rolled on wowchina and was delighted to find like minded ppl.

My real life name is Skye and I have lived, worked and studied in China now for nearly 3 years. I plan to stay here alot longer. I will probably roll the following 4 characters: Tauren Resto druid (feral till 70). Undead Shadowstep rogue (combat till 70). Undead Warlock SLSL. And if i get really motivated Orc MS Warr.

诺莫瑞根 server shanghai 1 PVP alliance, i eman i rolled horde in europe back in the day when wow first came out....it was the real stuff me and my orc hunter 60...then i come to china and my neighbours all play alliance so im like...ok ill try it....but somehow i still find myself longing for that feeling of being a horde and raping some random alliance in a BG or Southshore...aaaahhh the good old days....the closest thing i can do now is stealth into ogrimmar and sap random people while dancing naked on the roof of the bank as i Hearthstone =)

Yes there is a bunch of french people on shanghai 1 realm 玛多兰, CowEaters Guild alliance side (3 French, 1German,1 Chinese) frequently playing.

The other option is The Foreigner guild as the top post alredy said but they are major focusing on PVP Horde side.

Hey guys, I know this thread is for the horde side... but we got a couple of people on Area 1 server 马瑟里顿 (Magtheridon) alliance side in case anyone is interested in joining an alliance guild.

We have about 6-7 dedicated players on usually from 6-7pm to midnight onwards. We're all Chinese Americans so some of us are pretty fluent in Chinese and raid with the Chinese guilds. The other chinese members in our guild all speak English.

We do quite a bit of arena and BG as well as world PVP... (we usually pick the daily heroic summoning stone to camp the hordes!)... the alliance are the underdogs here so the BG wait lines are typically instant...

Anyways, we're all level 70 and pretty heavily arena geared... a couple of us are full S4 and one of our tanks is full T6. We have several alts all level 70s and can sell them if anyone wishes to skip the level 1 -70 grinding.
