This morning I tried to logon with my US version of WOW (3.0.5) and I got 'unable to validate game version". I checked the Chinese websites and doesn't seem like there was any new patches since yesterday. It was working fine up to now. Has any one else had this issue?

i saw this May 12 server mant. starts at 1 am for 16 hours maybe the problem.

yea that is the problem, i had some chinese friends from my realm talking about it. don't worry the servers will be up soon, tho they claim it will take a few days. thanks for the link, i feel a lot more relieved

3.0.5.9294 has been changed to a new patch 3.0.5.9869.

availble download when log in game now.

Thx to bcastleberg for pointing the problem. Is there a person here who could try to put the chinese wow.exe(3.0.5.9869) on rapidshare or something? Hopefully we only need to copy it on our wow folder like we did with the version 3.0.5.9294.

Servers are online again Chinese friend already installed patch and is online again.

I am downloading the new exe at the moment lets cross thumbs that it works!!

It Works just get the new WOW.exe and replace it !!!!

The best would be to put the file on rapidshare, gonna be much faster for people who don't have a chinese versionsion

There's a good chance that I will be unable to patch my Chinese wow because it's on a malfunctioning hard drive. We'll see. In the event that it does work, I'll send it to anyone who knows how to put things up on rapidshare so they can share it with everyone.

According to some chinese websites, the game should be executable with 9294 aswell as 9869. However, this is not the case for me.

Is this the case for anyone else?

A big fail on that one. It took an hour and a half to download, couldn't find a file, then deleted itself. I know i'm not allowed to swear in this forum... But I sure do want to, right now. Bloody waste of my time!

The first one I gt by downloading a patch through the Chinese wow update process. For someone to get the Chinese mac version, they need to update their game through a mac and mac software. The problem isn't that no one cares about mac users, the problem is, no one on this side of the globe, who is a wow player, also plays on a mac and has a backup chinese version of Wow on their mac.
