Guys, Its time to start own guild to help each other, play together and interract.

I have a lots of respect for my old guild "Laowai and Co" but I'm afriad the name is bit not sutable for chinese players who wants to join.

So,
1. What name shall we use for new guild?
2. When is suitable for all of us to come on-line to start it?

I propose to come online this Saturday at 8pm.

You can add 'Valiant' to your list as well (though I don't get huge amounts of spare time to play)

I really liked the 'Laowai' in the guild name and that was quite a big reason for me to start a new character on that server. It acts as an immediate visual guide to all the chinese players that I am (probably) not Chinese (I always tend to get so many Chinese messages from other players I have a macro to send an reply that I am not Chinese and that my Chinese reading is not very good)

I can see your point about it being less suitable for the chinese players as they just fall into the 'and co' category. Maybe 'and pengyou' is friendlier? or something more along the lines of Laowai Youhao? (Foreigner Friendly)

Perhaps something about language instead would be more appropriate. i.e. something along the lines of 'English Speaking' which then makes it easily identifiable, and equally applicable to foreigners and the english speaking Chinese.

If you buy a car in China are you going to custom paint it with chinese characters, 我是老外!! splashed across the front and back? It's like a black guy walking around with "n*gger" painted on his chest. Laowai is often used in a derogatory slash racist fashion, I'd rather not separate the guild explicitly with a racial barrier.

I think you got it wrong, I've never encountered any situation where 老外 was used in a racist way. You may have had bad experiences with this term, but I don't think it has this connotation, generally speaking at least. Well, you can always say "I hate you!" and express the opposite feeling... and it's quite effective

Anyway, the first purpose of the Laowai in the name of the guild was to make the contact with other Chinese players easier, since we played with Chinese, and the name of the guild was use as a tag on our back to explain our possible lack of comprehension...sometimes... And I can tell you with one year of experience that it worked quite nicely (even if my charm may have been the principal factor )

We successfully started new guild "Sunwell Legacy", marking the date we started. Really hope one day we can kill 25 man Sunwell instance too.

Unbelievable we got 10 foreign players and 3 chinese for start. abut 5-6 are very active. And rest comes on weekends. We really hope that other players will join us from other servers and we can invite more local players. With current number of people I don't see any problem running to Hero Instances. (We got 3 pro players who knows about right and left). And hoping that if people catch up fast we run KLZ very soon.

My respect to LePanda and what he has done for BJ server players. We are here playing togethe now, because of him.

2 game cards for transfer, have to be of same faction and can not go from PVE to PVP, and needs to be on same realm set for server selection.

The quake didn't have much effect in Chengdu. It's bad out in the mountainside small communities that were cut off due to having horrible road conditions through the mountains (which evidently slid apart) and towns made of brick without steel girders. Very sad and unfortunate how many schools in those towns were made like this.

How does one actually make that kind of transfer that you mention?

I'd like to join the Beijing server. If i play from Guangdong will it be too slow?

We got now 8 lvl70 and about 10 low levels. Hard core players about 4-5.

Just killed Karazhan last Saturday within 4 hours. And we'll try do it again this Saturday.

And Druid is very welcome.

Now we have chinese, american, aussie, german, french, canadian, HK, russian players.

So different backgrounds but so simillar interest to kill, kill and kill. Haha

Connection from Chengdu <> BJ is not bad most of the time. Guangzhou should be fine, you got east coast pipe!

Wrip - no we don't have web, and no time set yet. Guild is small - so everything is discussed for best timing. Otherwise it'll be like a job. Game starts to suck then.

I just got my game working, thanks to your generous help, and am about to find the realm and start playing.

I've never played this game before, but I have played Warcraft 3, so, I'm familiar with the general gist. Anyway, don't know if you're interested in having a noob tagging along in your guild, but if so let me know.

I'll probably roll a Druid to start off, just because I usually play Druids in other RPG's (like Neverwinter Nights.)

Druids are cool. I played one on a US server for about 2.5 years on and off.

They can be a bit slow to start out though. After level 20 things get faster when you get cat form. If you have any questions about em i'd be happy to answer them.

Chengdu>BJ latency is a pain in the ass for me. Often log in and rockin 900 or 1200ms, can't MT anything like that. It's getting frustrating. When it's down around 500 i'm fine.

It's amazing to find such a place with so many foreign friends play wow in China. I work for an American company so I really need to udpate my English speaking. I think you guys can help me:) and Im willing to help you strong up the guild.
Btw, my character is on 海加尔 realm Alliance, 70lvl hunter with pvp gears. If you need a Hunter, I can transfer to here. But I more prefer to reroll a new class. Warrior or rogue or Druid..

Any ideas on what i'm doing wrong?

FRIZQT__.TTF - 主界面字体

ARIALN.TTF - 是聊天字体

MORPHEUS.ttf - 邮件、任务字体

skurri.ttf - 伤害字体

Yes we do occasionally farm KLZ if we have people. if not just join random teams. As for my toons I don't need more item from KLZ. I just go there for fun.

Anyway WLK is coming, it should not take too long. More skills, more talent, death knight, more contents to play, and more people will back to game. I hope my toon can level up to 70 before WLK:)

^At the moment im using a powerlvling service from TaoBao that takes 18days and costs 350 for my character on shanghai 1. Im using it because ive played the class to 68 before so it will be quite easy to jump back into but if the class is new to you then there may be a problem. I suggest maybe playing the class to 30 and then if you cant continue then use the service or just powerlvl a class you've played before from 1.

I got my Orc Shaman to 63 before I left for China so i'm used to the class. I just wanted to let everyone know that i'll probably be using some sort of extra assistance to help me level otherwise i'll never catch up. I just dont have the time and im not familiar at all with the alliance side.
