I recently moved into a new apartment a few weeks ago and have been having som lag troubles. Basically lag varies at random times, sometimes I can have around 200ms (lowest) and at others I can have 4000ms and disconnect every 3 minutes. Unfortunately most of the time I have insanely high lag which makes WOW unplayable.
I have talked with friends in the area but they all have around 40-100 ms so they say it must be my problem.
before I moved I had low ms which leads me to think that the lag must be due to my new internet.
is this the case? Is there any way i can prove this?

Im running Vista and the solution would only decrease ms by 100-200, I need 4000 !_!

Have you tried resetting your modem and/or router?

Do you have wireless enabled and unsecured?

if u have cable internet you will have latency upto 4000ms!
Suggestion: change to 2M ADSL
I got both and i know the difference. I play round 100-200 ms at most

It will be hard for me to get new internet because I live in a compound. Also when torrenting or doing other stuff online I can have up to 100kb/s. Does this mean the problem is only between me and WOW?

anyone know a good proxy I can use?
