Starting Point : Advice, Options playing Chinese WoW
I recently started playing C-WoW and want to offer a summary of my experience thus far. First thing is that because C-WoW changed companies every bit of information on this website that is older than a month or so may or may not be correct and may or may not be useful to someone who is starting out new.
At this point if you want to start playing C- WoW all you need to do is go to an internet cafĂ© and copy the game client (to take home) and have a friend help you register email, ID (use a real ID) and buy some time for your account. After that you can play. If you do a lot more work you can play in English on a Chinese server but you need both a NA or EU client and a Chinese client plus a lot of other files—You can read about that elsewhere on this site. Commands typed in English on Chinese WoW do work. Using a website with quests and gear I’m able to do everything I was able to do before with little Chinese knowledge.
You can bind up to 5 accounts to a single email but you must pay for each account’s time individually. I suggest if you have the ability to play more than 1 account at a time that you separate each toon (on a server) onto it’s own account. That way for instance if you had a warrior, mage and priest, You could always make a choice any two or three or whatever). In my own case I have 5 accounts registered to a single email and have 1 toon on each account and I this way I can play any 2 or 3 of them that I wish by myself or with my girlfriend. It’s a nice difference from playing in NA where such an option is much more expensive.
Recently there seems to be three options to choose from to find some foreign players--
PVE Server: Region 1, Realm: 马多兰, Alliance
PVP Server: Region 1, Realm: 山丘之王, Horde
PVP Server: Region 2, Realm: 战歌, Horde
Right now (day time) nobody seems online on any of these servers. I guess though given the choice I prefer Alliance and PVE compared to a Horde PVP server, especially in China. (Hurrdurr.. Chinese farming Honor—etc) I would rather enjoy PvE content.
This week I played a little on each of these servers and at this moment I don’t believe any of them to have a “serious community” if anyone is looking for a server my advice would be that they should play what is local to them what is familiar to them and what they prefer. (PVP/PVE, Horde/Alliance).
I will play马多兰 because it has a lot of long-time semi-active players, this website belongs to that guild (Cow Eaters) and because the few people I have meet are friendly and because it has the options I prefer and know. (PvE Alliance).
If you are a new player and want to join us or any server my advice would be to log in and type “/join English” to see if anyone is around to talk to.
Hope to see more people, currently inactive or new players on马多兰 in the future.
