So i got my account set up and received my Game Card today.
I am planning to open COW EATER Guild on Taiwan Server!!!!
After reading all the posts i am interested if there is any foreign Community existing on Taiwan servers,which would make it easier.
Or a suggestion for a good server Horde, PVE or PVP with some active foreigners playing???

Bad News for all of us. WOW TAIWAN HAS CLOSED THEIR SERVERS FOR NEW ACCOUNT!!!!!!!

Its still possible to create Trail Accounts but the Game time will be used up and the MYCARD service let only people charge if the account was charged previously before the SERVER Close.

So Bolomas, Me and others which just created Trail Accounts have no chance to migrate if the Taiwan Server until they are open again for new people!!!

During peak hours (6pm to around 12) it's pretty bad, to the point of not being able to login. VPN's are quite cheap though, so I can't really see why you'd decide to not use one.

A StixX we really missed it closely. A month before I spent a whole afternoon trying to find the famous fedka, service I knew allowed you to recharge TW wow, but unfortunatly all the Metro card shops have disappeared because of the expo 2010, and now you tell me it's too late...

I've spoken with a Chinese friend well informed about the matter in China mainland, and he told me the only reason of the non-release is the dispute between the ministry of culture and the GAPP.

Let's hope it will be solved soon. Till now have pleasure gearing your 7alts with full t6.5 and brutal gladiator gear (I'm into a mage right now and loving it)

You mean they just created their account and could recharge it? Caus StItch is saying that people who just created a trial without recharging can't activate it and it seems recent.

I don't know about these recharge stuff. I just bought my game time off Taobao, 80ish if I can recall, a friend of mine helps me buy them.

You just pop the code in on the account management page. If you need more help, I can ask her to find a current auction you can see.



edit: expect queues on most servers at prime time. My current high pop can go near 1000 on weekends, and from my friends in game they say the low end ones can even get them occasionally.

There isno chance to recharge trail accounts. You will always get a error message when you go to the prepaid recharge. Not sure if a Taiwan ip might give you a chance to make accounts!?

If your friends still make accounts they are either bought or old ones!

I might be wrong but I cannot believe it's possible right now, made to many calls to sevice support and asked my Taiwan friends to help me, charging my account.

Lol actually I saw the mistake but the website was so slow when I tried to re-edit I just called it a day haha ^^.

I'm pretty sure Taiwan did this caus people from mainland are starting to migrate there again and they don't want the server to be locked like last summer.

Sad they didn't invest some money in new servers, I bet the risk for wow Taiwan being blocked by chinese censors are too high, so wouldn't be worth on the long run.

On the original Webpage there is nothing mentioned about new Realms or either when they open the service again.
I asked my Taiwan friend if he can create an account from Taiwan to see if the IP makes a diffrence or maybe the Passport Number:)

Stiich you sure you activated your account? Caus after I created mine I received a few emails, and I think I had to click some link or stuff like this to enable it. (but not really sure about it)

Perhaps you should check if it hasn't been done yet.

I am sure i activated all links and also add legit personal data into the account, as u should know nothing is fail prove but I believe all I've done is correct. Did u try the link on tw homepage after login to use prepaid card? Do you get same message as me?

After reading through the forum & some threads, ok folks i gonna provide a simple walkthrough on How to change your password.

I believed you have created an acct via Taiwan WoW (if not, go here http://www.wowtaiwan.com.tw/)

Important: AFTER YOU CREATED YOUR TW WOW ACCOUNT. PLEASE REMEMBER TO KEEP YOUR SECURITY CODE 安全密碼, DO NOT LOSE IT ELSE YOU MAY HAVE TO CALL TAIWAN BLIZZARD CUSTOMER SERVICE TO GRAB IT BACK. AND THEY DON"T SPEAK ENGLISH AT ALL COST.

Now before we top-up our account, please change your password (yeah, it troublesome but it required by TW WoW for each top-up. Simple reason for protection of your precious account and prevent from hacking of account)

STEP 1:
Login into your TW WoW Acct
- select change password
- fill in the blank

新遊戲密碼確認 (re-key in NEW password)

The above walkthrough was based on my last known (last top up was Oct 2009) on what i can remembered. please update me if some part are missing BUT I don't think so

There is only a restriction for 1000 new accounts charged per day with 3 periods :
10H00 = 300
16H00 = 300
21H00 = 400

I didnt know about the password change. Is this the reason why i get the error as described above?

I bught a 450 card from taiwan but when i do as you also describe use the mycard link i get a error message that the card number is invalid. Maybe thats due to the password not changed ??? But i dont think so!

A taiwan friend also made an account and gets the same error when he tryes to charge his new account he didnt even get the 30 day trail time into his account.

But i will try your suggestion asap i am back on my home PC.

stItCh, not to worry i do get that error message at times. Common mistake is the 0 (zero) and O (alphabet).

Just make sure you do not copy & paste the card code from your email to fill in the blank. Also use BIG CAP, follow the card numbers & code in order manner.

Taiwan Realm do not have 30days trial, never been before. only 10 days trial or max level 15 until you convert it to full account copy by purchasing MYCARD or their official timecard.

Let me know again...

Regards to password change, for the first time you created new account. You do not need to change the password when reloading/top-up your account. The second attempt (the next top-up), yes you need to do so.

But I would strongly suggest you to change your current password before top-up, no harm doing so.

I guess i figured out whats my Problem after trying to use the card i have again and always getting error that the card number is wrong, even changing 0 to Oh.

I decided to buy a new one from the link above and saw the picture is completely different then the one i have on the Card.
I believe my Card is the official Taiwan card which can not be used for charging atm?? Its a picture of the Lich King on the Front with WOTLK background and the WOW Taiwan logo. The My Card looks pretty pink according the picture from the Webpage.


Now i know why the Customer Service always told me i cannot charge up via mycard page and should use the official WOW page me sooo stupid, can be pretty hard if u cannot read chinese and rely on people never playing the game before

Unfortunately CHN-USA has still not topped my buying limit and i might have to wait 24H so i keep you updated;)

yes MYCARD is considered a official card by blizzard taiwan. the cards you saw with images & logo are Taiwan WoW official timecard. The pink card is 450 points from MYCARD, green is 350 points and so on. They all can be use to top-up your account.

yes you need to log into your WoW account from official site, follow my walkthrough guide. FYI, i have just top-up (dated 26 Dec 09) buying a 150 points card from CN-USA to replay my WoW account. I have no issue with MYCARD which matter of fact i been topping up my account with MYCARD 450pts since 2007.

after playing back wow from 2007 in taiwan realm (2004-2006 US realm), after all i felt horde is so "ugly" looking except for blood elf. Alliance still within acceptable range though they all still "ugly" especially the human .

I bought the WOW Taiwan Card for 450TWD =~90RMB

CN-USA is requesting to verify people with last credit card and driver license copy if they are not USA citizen

I don't get it. Since you have bought it, you should be getting the code from your email (the very email you registered with PAYPAL). Why CN-USA asking you to verify driving licence? no need to register CN-USA as member.

any updates on COW EATER in taiwan realm? any consideration on 暗影之月
PVE ? Would prefer Alliance side, one valid good reason = 75% Ally 35% Horde in server + Friendly Mature players (i think most server in taiwan have almost same ratio Ally > Horde).

BTW any consideration having new guild name over COW EATER?

Short update. My created account can not be reloaded before WOW taiwan allows that again, until then i hope to buy your Account

Bazza lend me his account for testing and i am on the same server playing as him. Unbelievable i am playing with a 75ms ping the same as my china account!!!

Guild Name, Server, Ally or Horde all is open until i can have my own account.

ATM i will play with Bazzas account.

I strongly suggest we all buy Chars / Accounts and have fun on Taiwan server, i was so happy to se yesterday the WOTLK content for the first time
