What's the current state of CWOW? I gather that it is lurching along after a fashion, but I'm unclear on patches and content (other than the lack of WotLK). Did TBC ever get added back in? Has any of the pre-WotLK patch material made it? Is anyone playing CWOW or is it staggering along as a kind of MMO zombie?
Season's greetings to all!

Great thing is, that you can create characters on any server and realm now If you wish to play just join one of the guilds mentioned here on the forums. For PVP Horde go to Bronzebeard (山丘之王) For PVE Alliance and new also Horde go to Maduolan (马多兰) In both cases join the english channel.

Hopefully we get a patch one day and god willing that big patch we all want to see.
It is my believe that if enough people stop playing WoW blizzard might actually decide to throw that big KTV party in Beijing that everyone will be so excited about things are just bound to happen.
Until than I have several alts to level up to 70 on my server, mainly alliance on Maduolan (马多兰), but our horde side is starting to catch on too.
I enjoy WoW and hope it will advance but it's still fun as it is.

WTF? OK, I tried to jump through the various hoops to move my old accounts onto Netease. I read the description, it seemed simple enough. My fiancee and I accessed the first part of the process, with her ID at hand and by the time we were trying to fill out the response to the Netease e-mail it seemed like I was going to have to remember the color of the toon's underwear!
How did you guys handle this? Darned if I'm able to recall what level a toon on a secondary account was at mid June. Did the transfer process become more complicated after it was posted here?
| | | Sat 2 Jan 2010 - 13:05 # | from what i remember , you don't need to remember the level but the name.. and tbh , i think this process was way easier than back with the9:D
Good luck | | |

Actually, the old days were easier for me. My daughter just decided that I should try WoW and set things up. Now, she has to get the old guy to remember stuff.

As far as I can tell it asks for the name, server, race, class and level of the toon. Attempting to go on without filling out those details gets directed back, with red flags at each field indicating that it is required. Most of the fields (all but the name) are on pull down menus which don't play well with machine translation.

I made it through the character info page and got a message that my attempt did not pass their automated review and would be checked by staff.
Is there any way to extract the data from the old WTF file or is CWOW's Armory back up now?
Failing that, is it currently possible to start a completely new account? The last I read, it seemed one of the two government bodies involved had told them to stop registering new accounts.
No sense in cross posting, but this does seem to go with the question in the "Going Dark" thread. I've been able to recreate the original account info: ID, account, password, name of toons, server and still can't get the account bound -- apparently because I can't remember the exact level of the toons. I can't be the only one who finds that a bit difficult; the barrier to bind an old account seems to be amazingly restrictive right now -- as if they don't really want the old players.
